How do you clean eyeglass lenses? I recommend patients treat their lenses like a mirror and clean them wet. However, my co-workers do not like me saying that and will advise not to wet all the time. So how would you give proper cleaning instructions at dispense? Mine- wet lenses before wiping. You may use lens cleaner, warm water with original dawn detergent, or premoist towelettes. If the cloth becomes dirty, you can hand wash with warm water and dawn and air dry only (no fabric softner) or just get a new microfiber cloth. I suggest cleaning glasses every morning to remove oil and debris from previous day. Remember to remove and put on glasses with two hands to lessen chances of a breakage and put them in a protected case when not wearing.
