In an increasingly interconnected world, a critical element of our digital infrastructure lies beneath the ocean's surface — submarine cables. These underwater marvels are vital to global connectivity, facilitating the seamless transfer of data across countries and continents. While connectivity is crucial, it's imperative to look beyond mere data transmission across borders. 🌍 Driving innovation through collaborative clusters IPCEI-CIS is divided into specialized clusters, each focused on a key area of innovation to ensure the best-targeted results. One of these is the TELCO Cluster, where leading European telco operators are joining forces to shape the future of Cloud technology through collaboration and innovation. Four major telco operators—Deutsche Telekom (🇩🇪), Orange (🇳🇱), Telefónica España (🇪🇸), and TIM (🇮🇹)—are currently working on the development of an open-source Telco Cloud reference stack. This includes multi-cluster containers with a focus on energy efficiency, driving competition, and expanding choices for edge cloud services within the EU.
