🌍 Celebrating International Men's Day: Prioritising Mental Health and Wellbeing 🌍 🧠 Mental Health Matters 🧠 Men often face unique challenges when it comes to mental health. Societal expectations and traditional gender roles can make it difficult for men to seek help and express their emotions. This can lead to feelings of isolation and stress. 💡 Why It's Important 💡 Breaking the Stigma: Encouraging open conversations about mental health helps break down the stigma and promotes a culture of support and understanding. Seeking Help: It's okay to ask for help. Whether it's talking to a friend, family member, or professional, reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. Self-Care: Prioritising self-care activities, such as exercise, hobbies, and mindfulness, can significantly improve mental wellbeing. At Hays, we are committed to celebrating International Men's Day and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all our employees. Let's use this day to remind ourselves and others that mental health is just as important as physical health. #InternationalMensDay #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #SupportEachOther #BreakTheStigma #hays

It's #WorldMentalHealthDay and this year's theme is "Prioritising mental health in the workplace." The work environment plays a key role in mental health and wellbeing. Having the flexibility to work from home or rearrange schedules when necessary can greatly reduce stress levels and boost positivity but not everyone has this luxury. When mental health breaks down, GPs are often the first point of contact for people seeking support. Beyond the initial diagnosis, treatment, referral, management and support, GPs also provide information and advice on sleep, stress management, mindfulness, lifestyle change and access to available health services. This #WMHD, we're highlighting the need for workplaces to prioritise mental health literacy, reduce stigma and facilitate access to quality #primarycare. #mentalhealth #wellbeing

In what ways are you prioritising mental well-being to shape the future of your workplace? Work takes up a significant portion of our lives, and the pace outside of work is just as fast. We know that challenges are inevitable, but it’s easy to forget how essential mental health is to our overall happiness and productivity. It shapes how we think, act, and interact with others. We need to create environments where mental health is openly discussed and prioritised. We know that this leads to a more engaged, balanced, and resilient workforce, which benefits both individuals and the company. I’m reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, it explores how smartphones and social media have impacted the mental health of Generation Z. Based on the research there’s a call for children to put the devices down, build connections and have real-world experiences to build mental wellbeing. … You could say it’s just as valuable in the workplace. So, what steps are you taking for World Mental Health Day? By the way this should be every-day! 📸 My son thinking about the future at the STEAM Festival this weekend in Riyadh.

When it comes to mental health and wellbeing, I will always have a voice. More and more businesses are investing in wellbeing resources and are recognising that mental health affects overall health and motivation. In fact, poor mental health costs UK employers an estimated £42 billion to £45 billion annually due to sickness absence and staff turnover. YOU are the foundation of your actions- how can you build on a unstable foundation? So how can you strengthen this foundation? Consider these strategies which have helped me: 1️⃣ Be outdoors - fresh air can help clear your head and reduce stress. 2️⃣ Be social - Spending time with friends or family can boost your mood and give you a sense of support. 3️⃣ Seek Support - Whether it’s a colleague, a friend, or a professional, be sure to reach out when you need it. Small steps can make a big difference. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #wellbeingatwork
Today at Indulge we are celebrating #MentalHealthDay by reflecting on one of our core values; wellbeing. We understand that there can be times where you may feel stressed, anxious or uncertain and this could relate to work, home life or social life. As a business, we are striving to work towards a culture where it's acceptable to talk about and seek support for poor mental health. As part of our continuous efforts to improve wellbeing in the workplace, we have recently introduced Calm to all team members to help support you in managing stress, sleep better and live a happier, healthier life. We encourage everyone to prioritise their mental health not just today, but every day. #WellbeingAtWork #MentalHealthAwareness
