Happy to read a well written article from Aviation Week Network about what can be called "Green Public Service Obligations", thanks to Victoria Moores. The idea is to fund new PSOs route without damaging the current PSO budget. We can streamline EU ETS carbon revenues to finance such routes, but at the condition that the aircraft used for such route can bring substantial Co2 and non-Co2 reduction. This will act as a kickstarter market for new technology aircraft in the regional segment. I strongly believe that with such mechanism, we have an opportunity to decarbonise most of PSOs before 2040.
