Hello LinkedIn community! At Breathing Bricks, we believe in the power of plants to transform indoor spaces. Whether you're a seasoned plant parent or just starting your green journey, here are some essential houseplant care tips to help your leafy friends thrive: 1. Pruning Basics: Regularly prune dead or yellowing leaves to promote new growth and maintain plant shape. It's like giving your plants a rejuvenating trim! 2. Mulch for Moisture Retention: Add a layer of mulch to your garden beds to help retain moisture during periods of dry weather. This will also suppress weeds and nourish the soil as it breaks down. 3. Lighting basics: Position your plants strategically to ensure they receive the correct amount of light, promoting even growth and healthy development. 4. Mind the Temperature: Most indoor plants prefer stable temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Avoid placing them near drafty windows or heating vents. Let's create healthier, greener indoor environments together! 🌿 Share your favorite houseplant care tips in the comments—we'd love to hear from you! 💚💬 #HouseplantCare #IndoorGreenery #LinkedInPlantTips #IndoorJungle #PlantTips #PlantCare #GreenThumb #IndoorGardening #PlantPruning #LightTips #BreathingBricks #BreathingBricks4Future #LetsGreenUP #GreenLiving #GreenInnovation #SustainableLiving #UrbanGreenery #WellBeing #SustainableCities #GreenCities #BreathingFence #BreathingBlock #BreathingPot

🌿 Tuesday Tips: Winter Houseplant Care 🌿 As the temperatures drop, it's important to adjust your houseplant care routine to keep your green friends thriving through the winter months. Here are some essential tips: 1. Water Less Frequently: With reduced sunlight and cooler temperatures, your plants need less water. Make sure the top inch of soil is dry before watering to prevent overwatering. 2. Find the Light: Place your plants in well-lit areas to maximize the limited natural light. Consider moving them closer to windows or using grow lights if necessary. 3. Dust Off Leaves: Dust can accumulate on plant leaves, blocking sunlight. Gently clean the leaves with a damp cloth to ensure they can absorb as much light as possible. Keep your indoor garden healthy and happy all winter long! 🌱✨ NEVIS AND ARDIZZONE TEAM 408.827.3100 NevisAndArdizzoneTeam@Compass.com | NevisAndArdizzoneTeam.com Michael Nevis DRE 01139401 | Rick Ardizzone DRE 00979963 #NevisandArdizzoneTeam #ExceptionalRealEstate #Compass #CompassLuxury #TuesdayTips #HouseplantCare #WinterTips #GreenThumb #PlantLovers #IndoorGarden

As the last days of summer fade, there's a unique blend of nostalgia and anticipation in the air. The golden light softens, and a gentle coolness begins to creep into the evenings, signaling that fall is on its way. This transitional period is the perfect time to prepare your home and garden in an eco-friendly manner. Start by cleaning and storing summer gear, like patio furniture and garden tools, to extend their life. Consider composting any garden waste, turning summer's leftovers into rich soil for next spring. If you have outdoor plants, bring them indoors to keep them thriving through the colder months. Switch out your air filters to ensure your home heating runs efficiently, reducing energy use. As the temperatures drop, swap out lighter curtains for heavier ones to keep warmth inside, cutting down on heating needs. Fall is also ideal for planting trees and shrubs, which benefit from the cooler weather to establish roots. Opt for native plants that support local ecosystems and require less water. Finally, consider adding a rain barrel to collect autumn rains. This free water can be used to nourish your garden or indoor plants. By embracing these eco-friendly practices, you can transition smoothly into fall while reducing your environmental footprint. #EndOfSummer #FallPrep #EcoFriendlyLiving #SustainableHome #GreenLiving #Composting #NativePlants #RainHarvesting

How to make your garden eco friendly We are all looking for ways to be more eco-friendly and the perfect place to start is in our gardens. So here are my top three tips on ways to make your garden more eco-friendly. 🌵 Pesticides and Weed Killers These eventually make their way into our rivers, lakes and groundwater so try to reduce your usage. Dispose of them responsibly at official waste management sites, do not pour them down the drain. Weeding by hand can be more time consuming but it is better for the environment and will give you a great sense of satisfaction and achievement. Garlic, elder and rhubarb leaf sprays can be used to help control garden pests. ☘️ Patio heaters Many of us have turned to patio heaters and fire pits to keep us warm when socialising outside. However, Government data at the beginning of 2021 revealed that wood fires in the UK produce three times more small particle air pollution than road traffic so it is far better to pop on an extra jumper. 💧Be water wise Water your garden in the evening to avoid the water evaporating in the daytime heat. Fix leaky taps and use a watering can rather than a hosepipe or a sprinkler system to reduce water wastage. Paddling pool water can be used to water plants when your children have finished playing. #EcoFriendlyGardens #SustainableLiving #GreenGardening #PropertyTips #HomeSustainability #GardenInspiration #EcoHome #GreenLivingUK
