Obijackson Foundation Mourns Stampede at Charity Event in Okija ; Commiserates with Bereaved Families, Gov. Soludo The Obijackson Foundation has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic stampede that occurred during its Annual Rice Sharing event at the Amaranta Stadium, Okija, on Saturday. The event, designed to support the less privileged during the Yuletide season, turned tragic, claiming lives and leaving families in mourning. In a heartfelt statement, the Foundation extended its condolences to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the bereaved families, and the Okija community. “This tragedy is devastating,” the statement read. “The Annual Rice Sharing event is a labor of love, and its outcome has deeply shaken us.” The Foundation pledged to thoroughly investigate the incident and implement stricter safety measures for future events. “We seek the community’s understanding as we learn from this experience and remain committed to uplifting the vulnerable,” it added. Acknowledging the swift response of security and rescue personnel, the Foundation reiterated its commitment to supporting affected families and continuing its charitable mission.
