✨ Reimagining Travel: An Inspiring Evening at Bspoke Home ✨ On November 18th, Bspoke Associates was honoured to host our first book launch at the new Bspoke Home in New York, through the event “Counterintuitive Travel in an All-Too-Predictable World.” The evening was hosted by Andrew Nelson, author of Here Not There: 100 Unexpected Travel Destinations, in conversation with acclaimed travel editors Amy Alipio and Brooke Sabin. Together, they explored practical solutions to over-tourism, spotlighting hidden gems and the joys of off-season travel. 🌍 With international travel projected to hit 2.4 billion by 2030, according to Road Genius, Andrew’s book could not be more relevant. The speakers reminded us how choosing lesser-known destinations can transform our adventures and protect the places we love. With The White Lotus putting Sicily on everyone’s radar, the proof is that spotlighting lesser-known places can work wonders for travellers. Besides speaking about key destinations such as Taormina and Palermo, guests tasted Terra Costantino wines, originally from Etna, crafted with organic traditions and the expertise of oenologist Luca D’Attoma—a perfect pairing for an evening of inspiration. 💡 This event challenged us to think differently about travel and embrace the extraordinary in the unexpected. What is your take on discovering off-the-beaten-path destinations? #BspokeAssociates #SustainableTravel #HiddenGems #Overtourism #BspokeEvents #IntegratedMarketing

If you haven't subscribed to the newsletter of Destination Think, I recommend you consider it. Here is another gem, on an initiative promoting " allyship between Tofino’s tourism industry and the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation". I love the idea of truth-telling as a vital foundation for building just relationships. It gives some insights into how the tourism industry can build right relationships with First Nations and local communities and how tourists can be brought to visit in a respectful and beneficial way. Values-led tourism, relational, with respect to all the spirits of place and the current custodians. https://lnkd.in/g_XAnBC7
