✨These are the real words of a kid served by an NCA-accredited center. Through our Youth Feedback Survey, we're hearing from them in their own words. Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) listen to children. CACs also help them process what's happened to them and build a foundation for life after abuse so they can go back to being kids. 👉Learn more about what we do in our Healing, Justice, & Trust report: https://loom.ly/cytrzy8

🌍 Raising Awareness for Anti-Slavery Week🌍 This week, I had the opportunity to take part in an important awareness training session organized by Barnardo's focused on “Modern Slavery and its Impact on Children and Young People”. The session highlighted the harsh realities that many children face, trapped in various forms of exploitation, including forced labor, trafficking, and domestic servitude. Modern slavery is an issue that impacts the most vulnerable in our society, including children and young people, in ways that are often hidden from sight. This insightful session shed light on how exploitation occurs, the signs to look out for, and how we can all play a role in preventing it. 🙌 Professionals from diverse backgrounds came together to share knowledge and perspectives, highlighting the importance of multi-agency collaboration in combating this issue. The discussions centered on identifying signs of exploitation, supporting young victims, and the crucial role we all play in safeguarding vulnerable children. A big thank you to Barnardo's for leading this essential conversation and for their tireless work in protecting the rights of young people. Together, we can make a difference! 🛑💪 Let’s continue the conversation and commitment to ensuring a safer future for every child. 💬 #ModernSlavery #AntiSlaveryWeek #ChildProtection #Safeguarding #Barnardos #EndExploitation #AwarenessTraining #EndModernSlavery #ProtectChildren
