Ocean Impact Organisation’s Post

🌊 This is INNOVOCEAN! 🌊 What a day! Wednesday saw attendees from industry, government, investment, science, not-for-profits and – of course – innovation descend upon the Australian National Maritime Museum on beautiful Darling Harbour for Ocean Impact Organisation’s INNOVOCEAN event. Our third year of the event took attendees on a journey to the deep sea; from a powerful oceanic keynote from awarding winning author James Bradley, an extraordinary panel discussion on shaping the future of Australia’s sustainable ocean economy; a pitch from The University of Queensland's Ventures Challenge winners, to one of the highlights of our year – live pitches and demos from our Ocean Impact Accelerator Program 2024 Cohort! 🚀 Plus a fascinating and moving talk from Deep Rising Movie and Impact co-executive producer Laura Clarke, who screened the film trailer and then announced a new world-first initiative to reclaim the deep seabed from mining companies – in The World’s Largest Ocean Dispute. Thank you everyone! 🩵 And watch this space as we bring all of the very best of INNOVOCEAN to socials. #INNOVOCEAN

Thanks for putting on such a great event! It was really nice to meet people working in the broader ocean space beyond the fishing industry.
