no I'm consistently surprised by how the traditional linear economy approach of the textile industry is being “bent into a circle”. A true circular economy is about innovation and requires high-quality materials at every step: from the fibers used in the first place, to the chemicals for processing, dyes, and even trims. However, we often overlook the importance of ecotoxicity. Also, it's crucial to have a plan for the products’ end of life. During the Performance Days exhibition in Munich last week, I was really encouraged to see that outdoor and sportswear brands are starting to recognize the importance of these issues and are actively seeking solutions. I was frequently asked whether our next-gen biodegradable polyester, naNea, is made without using antimony as a catalyst. The answer is yes! It is not only made without antimony; it's also designed to be biodegradable and easy to depolymerize. All while maintaining high performance and durability. This highly motivates me personally to continue pushing aggressively for more innovations in the time to come. #circulareconomy #cradletocradle #oceansafe #naNea #nextgeneration

This 3-year offtake agreement demonstrates brand and innovators’ support to meet the growing consumer demand for high-quality next-gen materials.🎉 MAS Holdings, a global apparel manufacturing and tech conglomerate, and Ambercycle, a materials science company, partnered to scale Ambercycle’s circular polyester material, cycora®. This collaboration aligns with MAS’s goal to derive 50% of its revenue from sustainable products by 2025. cycora® is made through proprietary molecular regeneration technology and yields the same quality as virgin-grade materials while lowering greenhouse gas emissions and reducing dependency on landfilling or incinerating end-of-life textiles. “Supply-chain partners play a crucial role in advancing our work to decarbonize fashion and minimize the impact of raw-material extraction on our environment,” added Shay Sethi, Ambercycle Co-founder and CEO. “We’re pleased to share our work with MAS as one of the premier manufacturing partners in the global apparel ecosystem. Together, we share a strong commitment to diverting textiles from landfills and pioneering circularity at scale.” #Materialinnovation #Nextgenmaterials #Sustainability #Textiles #Partnership #Circularity
