Still getting 90% ballast in your patent search while others getting 90% signal? Old way: - Start with 3-5 keyword roughly describing the concept - Include * ? [] to adjust for spelling or plural - Add all synonyms you can possibly think of - Combine everything with Boolean terms - Iterate forwards and backwards - Adjust the query over the years New way: - Describe the innovation in your on words - Cover: What, How, Features, Use Case - Submit query to context search That's how I do patent search in 2024. Keywords → Context Hidden documents → Uncovered Same data → Different perspective
