I love it when clients use video as part of recruitment drives, as it's a VERY powerful tool. But why? 💥 Candidates will be browsing your social channels before they apply - watching videos, looking at photos and getting a feel for your business. 💥 Video demonstrates your company culture in a relatable and authentic way. 💥 Videos are shared 1200% more times than links and texts combined (Forbes). 💥 Recruitment videos featuring existing staff are a form of testimonial - a highly valued metric. 💥 Typically 43% of candidates are more likely to apply to a job with video content (CV Library). Make sure you capture their attention with easy to watch videos, like this one we produced for OEG Renewables... Published on 28/06/2024 - 7:00 GMT+2 BP halts hiring new staff and puts break on renewable energy plans The company, which had been making progress in sustainable energy, is scaling back these plans to focus more on oil and gas in the near future. BP has also announced a temporary halt on new hires and offshore wind projects. The company will increase investments in oil and gas projects, particularly in the US and the Gulf of Mexico. This shift in focus is a response to the current economic and investor climate. Shell, another major oil and gas company, made a similar move by prioritising higher-profit ventures over low-carbon and renewable energy projects. https://lnkd.in/dEyadmDs.

Germany has awarded 1,800 MW of onshore wind farm tenders in its recent renewable energy auction, with a total of 2.5 GW bids submitted across 135 applications. Out of these, 129 received contracts covering 1,836 MW. The awarded bids have values ranging between 7.25 and 7.35 euros cents per kWh, with the average surcharge value at 7.34 cents per kWh, just below the maximum value. The largest award volumes were for locations in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and Brandenburg. The Federal Network Agency highlighted a record volume of bids in 2023, reaching 6,500 MW, signaling a positive trend in onshore wind tenders. While there is satisfaction with the increasing number of projects, industry experts emphasize the need to accelerate the pace of project implementation by issuing more permits and addressing bureaucratic obstacles. The Federal and State governments are urged to streamline approval processes and establish uniform national requirements for efficient transport of wind turbine components to construction sites. https://lnkd.in/ekyZsbds #onshorewind #germany #odinglobal
