Start the week - how are your team doing? Leaders and managers - there's always a lot going on and now summer is definately over (only 100 days to Christmas!!) things are getting busy. It takes discipline to turn off your own agenda and to just sit and listen to your team. When your own mind is racing on a busy to-do list, never forget to understand what is going on for them. Make the time to build your listening skills this week - and let me know in the comments below what impact that has. #4F1T #dwainchambers #speaker

This week I'm focusing on the first thirty days: conducting the listening and learning tour. #productleadership #first90days #newgig

On "Throwback Thursday," I thought I'd throw this one out there as a throwback to the Kelley Full-Time MBA Program, circa Fall 2009, when the one cohort started playing "word sneak" in lecture discussions (NOTE: I was sleeping during this time, because I was in the Blue Cohort... and we sleep in 👍). Incorporating games, like word sneak, has the potential to enhance engagement during corporate QA sessions, planning meetings, or other events where teams from across the company need to collaborate to achieve a common goal. NOTE: Be sure that everyone, including moderators and leadership, is in on it!!! YMMV, because your corporate culture may be such that an activity like this could turn many people off. Add this as a tool in your arsenal, but use wisely! #throwbackthursday #KelleyMBA #teambuilding #corporateengagement #collaboration #businessstrategy #EngagementTools #corporateculture

Our weekly team practices serve as a time to learn and practice new skills AND as a time to reflect on how we're showing up for ourselves and our team. We teach the importance of reflection, create space for it, and help our participants build the habit. #leadershipdevelopment #peopledevelopment #middlemanagement #leadershiptraining
