I agree with the emphasis on cultivating networks and understanding brands deeply. Building strong connections across various industries and geographies indeed enhances the influence and impact of PR work, driving meaningful change through collaboration. It reflects the necessity for PR to go beyond traditional roles and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes within organizations. However, it raises questions about the readiness of PR professionals to adapt to this expanded role. Are there enough training and development opportunities to equip PR practitioners with the necessary business acumen and analytical skills? Additionally, how can PR professionals balance their traditional duties with these new responsibilities effectively? While the future of PR in Africa is indeed promising, it is essential to consider how PR professionals can continuously innovate and stay ahead of global trends while maintaining these high ethical standards. This balance will be key to shaping the continent’s narrative on the global stage and driving meaningful impact.

In a world full of stereotypical narratives especially when the topic revolves around Africa. It is essential to train yourself to write in a manner that sheds light on the issues present while also acknowledging the steps community leaders and members have taken to solve these issues. I am grateful to have completed my course in Ethical Storytelling and wish to use the skills I have gained from this to create ethical and factual narratives as a communications and public relations enthusiast. #StoriesofAfrica #EthicalStorytelling

📰 When faced with a crisis or bad publicity, it's crucial to handle media inquiries with care and transparency. Avoiding the phrase "no comment" is key to maintaining trust and credibility. Instead, provide a thoughtful response or acknowledge the situation while ensuring you are well-prepared to address any concerns or questions. By engaging with the media openly and honestly, you can help shape the narrative and demonstrate your commitment to addressing the issue at hand. #MediaRelations #CrisisManagement #Transparency #PublicRelations #CommunicationStrategy IG South Africa KOJ PR & Communication
