I was talking to my father this morning and we were reminiscing about business and he told me that they just cut the ribbon on their brand new manufacturing facility in Montreal. And I said to my dad, I said, you know what, I'm so proud of you. I said, you've been working on getting this new manufacturing facility for 40 years and you finally did it. And he said, no son, it hasn't been 40 years. It's been 50 years that I've been working on this. And he says you'll never know. How difficult it's been to get to this point in my career. He's been in the same facility for almost 50 years now. And it really hit me. Like I really look at my father as somebody that I really respect when it comes to business. He built himself a beautiful business that I used to be in. And it hit me that it takes 50 years to build a business. It takes 50 years to do something big. And a lot of us, including myself, get bored or we get impatient after 50 weeks and it's so not the right approach. Business takes time. Things take time to build. These overnight successes and these overnight success stories that we hear about, they're one in 1000 or one in a million. You've got to put in that work every day and grind every day. I used to drive around with my father in the industrial parks in Montreal on Sundays, and he used to climb over the recycling, the metal recycling bins and use the check which companies in the industrial parks had scrap metal so that on Monday morning he could call them. He would write. Down and he would call them. And my father got there from blood, sweat and tears. It doesn't happen overnight. So to anybody out there right now who is grinding day in and day out, and you might be in your first year, you might even be in your first decade in business and you might save yourself. It's not going the way that I would like to and it's not going as fast as I would like it to go. Just know that sometimes it takes 50 years to build the business, but if you stay in it, you will win it.
