A digital marketer should be good at: - Facebook and Instagram, and know about other social platforms like Tik Tok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat. - Be an expert in Meta Ads. - Be an expert in coordinating design team - Moderation. - Make and execute strategies. - Do content marketing and make strategies - Analyze data. - Knowing Google Ads is a bonus! But it doesn't mean one person can do all these things alone. You're benefiting from their skills. If you're hiring for Digital Marketing dept please make sure you have a team for this department. If they know a lot, it doesn't mean you should overload them. #behuman

I'm hiring for a marketing individual contributor (IC) at Seer, don't have the job post up yet, but if there's one thing I'm looking for it starts with someone who refuses to put any content behind a gate for "emails" / MQLs. I want someone who feels at their best when they are earning email signups, where people give you their emails because you constantly dropped content bangers not because you came up with some "gift card giveaway" or other tricks, just straight value. You've gotta see gates and other marketing devices as friction you are the kind of marketer who doesn't put into the world gated content because you don't like forking over your emails to get other people's high quality content. You will need to come with examples of how you use valuable, ungated content to create wins. I'm looking for value over viral. Also, maybe you found a way to gate content and create value, would love to hear those stories and see that data too, we only learn when we are challenged, but so far I have yet to see a marketer show me gated content that didn't make me say...why not just put it in the world.

Content creation for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Strategy development for each platform Community management across all channels Paid ad campaigns on Facebook and Google Website design and management Analytics and performance reporting AND MORE… all for one person with just 2-3 years of experience! 🤯 This isn’t a “Social Media Executive” role, it’s an entire digital marketing department squeezed into one job. Expecting one person to be a master at content creation, ads management, analytics, community engagement, SEO, and website design is unrealistic and counterproductive. Let’s stop expecting one person to do it all. #noFluffMarketing- Saw a post recommending that the first hire in marketing be marketing ops. Noooooooo !!! Who will build out the GTM strategy? Who will produce content that market ops will consume? If you are product-led, who will think of the product growth strategy? Building credibility & building ROI? Who will design the complete campaign in alignment with business goals? Unless your marketing ops team can do all of these and more, they will sit idle, wait for commands and be a complete confused mess (see cat below) My advise - hire an M-shaped marketer first. Hire someone with broad understanding across all marketing verticals you care about, but someone who has depth in a few verticals ex. content, events, etc. #marketing #marketingformarketers #imagewithAI
