Their presentation showcased innovative roundabout designs that considered the setting, size, shape, material, and user. 🔄 𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: From hybrid-shaped, mini-urban roundabouts like Newark’s Five Points to the unique turbo roundabout at Delaware County’s Home Road and Lewis Center Road intersection—designed with spiraled geometry and a raised lane divider for intuitive traffic flow—these roundabouts are making intersections safer and more efficient. 🔄 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Roundabouts reduce injury crashes by 80% and are crafted to complement local aesthetics, showing that innovative engineering can enhance both safety and community character. 🔄 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆: With 24 roundabouts built since 2011, Delaware County, Ohio, exemplifies the rising popularity of roundabouts in the U.S., connecting communities with safer, more sustainable intersections.
