📝 This year, I’m trying to draft a few quiz questions for the study group meetings to make our sessions more engaging and to ensure even the introverted participants are involved. It takes a lot of extra time, but it seems to be worth it!
For example, this is one of the questions we discussed yesterday with the Paper F study group:
____
📖 A Spanish national filed an international application at the EPO in Spanish on 8 January 2024. On 9 January 2024, the applicant paid the international filing fee, search fee and transmittal fee to the EPO. The application was transmitted to the International Bureau and was received there on 10 January 2024.
Why was the application transmitted to the IB? Does the applicant have to pay any fees to the IB? If so, what is the time limit for the payment?
____
🔊 If you are preparing for Paper D, I highly recommend starting practicing Paper D2 exams before Christmas! Every D2 paper tests different topics, legal issues, so it is advised to do multiple D2 exams before your exam, you can even do 8 old D2 exams if you have the time.
I have just selected 3 different exams we will discuss with the November-December D2 study group: 2009, 2015 and 2017 D2 exams.
If you want to learn a D2 methodology, do and discuss 3 D2 papers together step-by-step, there are still a few places in this D2 study group.

(The weekend D2 study groups have all been fully booked, so this is your last chance!)
Have a nice weekend everyone!
