Don’t underestimate the value of having a great team. A team is not just people who work at the same time in the same place. A real team is a group of very different individuals who enjoy working together and who share a commitment to working cohesively to help the organization achieve its goals and fulfill its purpose. Being a part of a team and feeling support from your teammates is one of the best feelings one can have at work.

If I had to pick between an unfocused team and an under-resourced team, I'll pick the under-resourced one every time. Focus makes people very resourceful and unleashes creativity and solutions. The absence of focus is often impossible to fix with more resources. This is because putting more people on a diffused focus effort can further diffuse focus. I've seen a focused team do things in a week that an unfocused team couldn't do in a year. What's fascinating is that it was the same exact people - so the difference wasn't the skill or competence of the team. It was simply eliminating distractions and being laser focused on the outcome.

I love being a part of a team, always have. It’s more fun, you feel less alone in the work, you learn from each other… I believe that when we come together with the same goals, same commitment and work ethics, we can achieve anything👫👭🧑🤝🧑👬 I wanted to really understand what it means to be a team player by definition, and found these key characteristics: ✔️Communication: Clearly and openly sharing information, ideas, and feedback with teammates. ✔️Cooperation: Willingness to work together and genuinely assist others to achieve group objectives. ✔️Reliability: Being dependable, completing tasks on time, and fulfilling commitments. ✔️Respect: Valuing others' opinions, listening actively, and showing appreciation for teammates' contributions. ✔️Adaptability: Being flexible and open to change, adjusting to new roles or tasks as needed. ✔️Supportiveness: Encouraging and helping team members, providing assistance and motivation. ✔️Accountability: Taking responsibility for one's actions and decisions, owning up to mistakes, and learning from them. ✔️Positive Attitude: Maintaining a constructive and optimistic outlook, even in challenging situations. ✔️Conflict Resolution: Addressing and resolving disagreements or conflicts in a constructive manner. ✔️Commitment: Demonstrating dedication to the team's goals and putting in the effort to achieve them. And the best is when we do it from our hearts and without an ulterior motive, because we genuinely care about the people and the work. ✨

A “team” is not just people who work at the same time in the same place. A real team is a group of very different individuals who enjoy working together and are committed to working cohesively to help their organization achieve its common goals and fulfill its purpose. Most likely, they are not all equal in experience, talent, or education, but they are similar in one vitally important way, their commitment to the good of the organization. A leader’s role is greatly diminished without their team, and any group of people, your family, your workplace, or your community, will get the best results by working as a team.
