Did you hear about the new VA home loan policy? The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs now allows buyers using VA-guaranteed loans to directly compensate their buyer brokers. This significant change ensures our veterans remain competitive in the homebuying market, especially in light of the recent $418 million settlement in the Sitzer-Burnett case. Previously, veterans couldn't pay buyer-broker fees, putting them at a potential disadvantage. This policy shift ensures veterans have the same advantages as other buyers. With the real estate market still adjusting, this update is crucial to maintaining fairness and competitiveness. The National Association of Realtors® applauds this move, ensuring our service members are given equal opportunities to achieve homeownership. As always, I'm here to support and guide you through these changes. #Veterans #HomeBuying #RealEstateUpdate #VAHomeLoan #CompetitiveMarket

Despite how HGTV and the like portray home flipping as an easy and fun way to make money, most flips end up in the red. Guess who the flipper is going to try to get to share in their pain. So don’t buy a flipped home. Instead, use a loan that includes money for renovation (e.g. FHA 203k). That way, you can manage the work and make sure there are no hidden surprises behind the walls. #homeflippers #hgtv #realestate #chicagorealestate #chicagorealestatelawyer
