I find venues I track RSVPs I review invoices I create floor plans I source event vendors I update event websites I coordinate client meetings I manage food and beverage I conduct set up and breakdown I track event budgets and expenses My Unpopluar Opinion…. SOOOOOOOO WHAT! Who doesn’t do this? The above list is as basic as a bologna sandwich. It literally is what any and every Event Planner can and should be doing. But that is not what you should be hiring an Event Planner for. You hire an Event Planner for: Post-event analysis Strategic brand integration On-site crisis management Customized guest experiences Executive Concierge Services Event sustainability consulting Personalized theme development VIP Access to your trusted vendors Interactive event technology guidance Expert Protocol Guidance and compliance These are the things you should be asking Event Planners and other #eventprofs about when hiring them. You want a better event? Hire people who will give you a better event. It really is that simple. Oh and pay them their worth because you’re going to see increased ROI year after year.
