In a world 🌎 where technology is often criticized for its impersonal nature, I’ve witnessed firsthand how AI can bring light into the darkest of times. Recently, a dear friend of mine has been bravely battling stage 4 cancer. During this challenging journey, and distance (Maine and Massachusetts) we’ve found solace and distraction through the power of AI imagery. Late into the night, our text sessions have become a canvas for creativity. She provides the inspiration - a memory, a dream, a fleeting thought - and I turn to AI and my prompt engineering tradecraft. Together, we transformed her inspirations into vivid, joyful images, bringing to life scenes that sparked joy and offered a momentary escape from her battle. This experience is a powerful reminder that in a world full of dark times, technology, particularly AI, holds incredible potential for good. Combining algorithms and data with meaningful human connections we can strengthen the positive impact we can make, one person, one prompt at a time.
