One of our amazing customers is sharing his thoughts on working with our products! 🚀 "We recently conducted a transcriptomics analysis experiment of Zebrafish samples, and we used the RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kit for the same. The kit is primarily designed for human/mouse/rat rRNA depletion, but after discussing it with the Lexogen team, we decided to give it a try, and we were amazed by the results. The entire experiment went smoothly, and after the rRNA depletion, we proceeded with the downstream preparation of the libraries using the CORALL RNA-Seq Library Prep Kit with 12 nt Unique Dual Index System (UDI) for RNA-Seq. Compared to the other kits we used previously, using the Lexogen products was an entirely new experience. The people at Lexogen provided excellent support during the experiment planning, quick and precise replies to all our questions, and clear and simple instructions to perform the whole experiment. These contributions undoubtedly led to a successful outcome. We plan to use this winning combination of Lexogen products in the future.” #CustomerFeedback #WhatOurCustomersSay

Today we launched Annotator, our new peptide spectrum annotator for proteomics applications, along with the accompanying rust library rustyms. We built this to annotate as many possible fragment types and weird peptides as possible, spanning bottom-up, top-down, glycoproteomics and cross-linking MS applications. Get it on Github and let us know what you think: https://lnkd.in/dbgqPNBF https://lnkd.in/dx5n67PE Read more about it in the preprint: https://lnkd.in/dnd65S3G

🌟 Announcing GBCC 2025: The first-ever joint conference between Bioconductor and Galaxy! We’re excited to bring together the Bioconductor and Galaxy communities for a Galaxy and Bioconductor Community Conference (GBCC 2025), our first joint conference, taking place from June 23-26, 2025 at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York. This unique event will bring together two of the leading platforms in genomic data science for a collaborative exploration of cutting-edge tools, methods, and research. GBCC 2025 will feature integrated sessions, workshops, and Birds of a Feather (BoF) discussions. By fostering collaboration across our communities, we aim to drive innovation and advance the field of bioinformatics. To celebrate we will launch a logo design contest for GBCC 2025! The winning design will become the official conference logo, featured on all conference materials, including stickers and t-shirts. More details on how to enter will be shared soon. Read more in our shared blog post, and stay tuned for further details about the conference: https://lnkd.in/eSNeSEDx Mark your calendars for this milestone event in genomic data science! #GBCC2025 #Bioconductor #Galaxy #Bioinformatics #Genomics #DataScience

Evizia has been working with several leading US Academic #genomics research cores to further test the PRECYSE instrument with gDNA and #NGS library samples. The image below is a #PacBio library provided by a collaborator in Boston. A really clean beautiful library! Sizing comparison to Agilent #Femto: PRECYSE: 431 molecules analyzed in a 4min run (150+ molecules typically needed for statistically accurate sizing) Mean size = 9.0kb Femto: max RFU peak = 13.9kb. Avg insert size from PacBio sequencing data = 10.2kb. We consistently see that sizing by electrophoresis utilizing fluorescence overestimates the actual size of DNA, increasingly so for larger molecules.

Check out our pilot episode of the PI Chronicles by my colleague Elizabeth Tseng, PhD Hopefully it will pique your interest in PureTarget, learn more here https://lnkd.in/gyyEDfHu
Introducing "The PacBio PI Chronicles" 🎬 – a mini-series following two genomics researchers Peter and Mary as they tackle some tough and relatable challenges in the lab. In the pilot episode, Peter is struggling with tight grant deadlines and questioning which is the best sequencing technology to use for his ataxia research (can you relate?). Mary’s solution might surprise you... check out the first episode here: #PacBio #ASHG24 #HiFisequencing
