[News] On April 3rd, our Secretary General Minah Oh, welcomed representatives from three renowned Andalusian wineries: Bodegas Altanza, Bodegas Barbadillo and Bodegas del Pino, as a delegation of Andalucía TRADE (the Andalusian Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development). The Chamber has arranged meetings for these wineries, marking the beginning of an active trade mission to explore the dynamic Korean market. In an effort to foster meaningful connections and open new business opportunities, we are committed to expanding the presence of Andalusian wine in the international market. With Andalucia Trade's support and the invited wineries' valuable participation, we are confident that this trade mission will be a resounding success. We are excited about the potential of the South Korean market and believe that the quality and appeal of Andalusian wines will win the hearts of consumers. Completed the Champagne MOOC from Comité Champagne ! I explored the fascinating world of Champagne through four comprehensive modules: The Champagne Making Process, The Champagne Terroir, History and Economy of Champagne & Diversity and Tasting. Throughout the course, I learnt about the complex production methods, such as the traditional méthode champenoise, and how the unique terroir, predominantly composed of limestone soil, shapes its flavour profile. I studied Champagne's rich historical roots dating back to the 17th century and its significant economic impact. Despite the region's limited vineyard area of 34,300 hectares, representing only 4% of France's total vineyard area, Champagne captures 36% of the global consumption of all sparkling wines by value.
