🚨 New Podcast Alert! 🚨 This week we have a brand-new episode all about Statins - the powerhouse medications used to lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. In this episode, I dive into the risks, benefits, and how to effectively integrate statins into patient care for Chronic Liver Disease. One myth that has lingered for years is the fear of liver toxicity from statins, which stemmed from older studies. But guess what? That “fake news” has been thoroughly debunked! Statins, in fact, are liver protective in general, with the risk of severe liver injury being incredibly rare—only about 1 in 80,000 patients. 💊 If you’ve ever been curious about statins, their safety profile, or how to optimize their use in practice, this is the episode for you! Don’t miss out on this week’s insights. 🎧 Listen here https://lnkd.in/gb9YgsYa Or find me on Apple Podcasts and Spotify #Statins #LiverHealth #ChronicLiverDisease #PatientCare
