This contributes to the WOAH Working Group on Wildlife to provide expertise in wildlife forensics and trade. In this video, she shares about the Sunda Pangolin (Manis javanica) as one the most trafficked species in the world. The WOAH Wildlife Working Group focuses on strategic plans to safeguard animal health and protect such wildlife species under global threat.
The Tasmanian devil? Humans? What animal is threatened by animal disease today and what does it mean for these #wildlife populations? People with this type of innovative mindset, can actually bring change. It's up to us, whether we support such mindfully sound people for their cause. If we can't support it, don't criticize or defame it. We all need a Sustainable world , where everyone is self sufficient. For that we have limited resources and that's why it's important to distribute and utilise those resources in a responsible manner. जय श्री कृष्ण भारत माता की जय🇮🇳 #Sustainability #Animals

Yesterday evening my partner and I found a heavily wounded young buzzard on the highway. We drove the same way again immediately to catch him and and l'd like to give you a few informations if you find yourself in such a situation. Here are 5 concise steps for helping a wounded wild animal: 1 Stay Safe: Approach cautiously and wear gloves to protect yourself. 2 Assess the Injury: Observe the animal's condition without causing stress. 3 Call for Help: Contact a wildlife rescue center, animal control, or a vet. Provide Minimal Aid: Stop bleeding with a clean cloth and keep the animal calm. 5 Transport Securely: Use a ventilated box lined with a towel for safe handling. Tip: Never medicate or feed the animal-leave it to the experts! Wounded animals can react highly aggressive as they are in a very stressful situation and in a near death experience. Always be cautious and stay save. Especially with big mammals! When driving on a highway make sure to use your indicators and don't do an emergency brake causing crashes with other cars on the highway. #wildlife #sasanamir #vet #woundedanimal #animalcaretaker #buzzard

🚀 Project Completed: Analyzing Urban Park Rangers' Animal Assistance and Rescue Reports 🐾 I'm excited to share that I've recently completed a project focused on analyzing the reports related to animal assistance, relocation, and rescue efforts completed by the Urban Park Rangers. This project aimed to answer key questions around: 1️⃣ The trend in the number of animals sent to rehabilitators or care centers over time. 2️⃣ Changes in the types of animals being reported. 3️⃣ The evolution of information sources (call sources) over time. To achieve these insights, I leveraged my skills in Excel, Table Anatomy, #NumPy, and #Pandas, working with data to uncover patterns and trends that could inform future strategies for urban wildlife management. #LearnApplyRepeat, #excel, #tableanatomy, #numpy, #pandas, #MyGreatLearning University of Arizona

It’s peak season for animal collisions on the road. 🦌 As we enter this time of year, it’s crucial to keep both ourselves and our wildlife friends safe. Here are some tips to improve safety: - Slow Down: Especially in rural or forested areas, or if you spot an animal near the road. More time to react means a better chance of avoiding a collision. - Be Alert: Keep your eyes on the road at all times, day or night. Be extra vigilant during dusk and dawn when animals are most active. - Watch for Signs: Pay attention to "deer crossing" and other animal signs. These indicate areas with high animal activity. - Avoid Sharp Turns: Swerving at the last minute can lead to losing control of your vehicle. - Use Your High Beams: Flicking on your high beams can help guide wildlife away from the road. Stay safe out there and let’s protect our furry friends!

Animal services are currently underfunded, limiting the ability for animal rescue and rehabilitation and care 🐨. In the lead-up to the Queensland election, we asked the parties if they support increased funding to meet the increasing need for wildlife care and rehabilitation services, research and education – here's how they responded. ✨ Helveticans believe in using art as a means to confront people with disturbing realities. A case in point: Animal exploitation and the horrific marketplace of animal parts. 🐾🦴 Did you know that some of the most popular, high-end products are made from animal skin or parts? 💡 We had a radical thought: What if animals themselves put their body parts for sale? The resultant imagery had to be shocking and jolt people out of their comfort zones. 🎨As a part of our Art Bots Series we tried, and this is the result. 👉 Check out our latest work and join the conversation about animal rights and the power of art to create change. #Helveticans #ArtBotsSeries #ArtForAwareness #AnimalRights #WakeUpCall
