Marcus Aurelius’s wisdom about the enduring nature of generosity resonates deeply with me. I believe that enterprising families have a profound opportunity and responsibility to do well by doing good. By leveraging our success to support charities, invest in causes that matter to us, and care for our employees, we create lasting societal impact. When we use our resources to uplift others, we not only strengthen our communities but also build a more compassionate and resilient society. This belief is why I am so passionate about helping family enterprises succeed. It’s the reason I’ve dedicated my career to supporting them—because their success can lead to positive change for generations to come. Let’s continue to strive for success that benefits all, turning our wealth into a force for good. #FamilyLegacy #FamilyEnterprise #FamilyImpact

Excellent article by Neil Pharaoh and Tanck especially in lead-up to next year's election. My favourite message: "The most brilliant government funding partnerships I have seen have been when organisations can bring not for profits, with corporate partners and donors, together with government around a project – it creates multipliers across the board and reduces risk for any one funder (and your organisation) – ask how you link your government advocacy to other forms of fundraising and what strategies do you use to bring them together?" #fundraising #governmentadvocacy
In an era of economic instability, effective government engagement is more important than ever for charities and social enterprises. Neil Pharaoh's latest article explores how organisations can navigate the challenges posed by a "wobbly" economy while strengthening their relationships with government bodies. Amid rising pressures on resources, this article provides actionable strategies to ensure that missions remain resilient and impactful, even in uncertain times. Discover how to bolster your advocacy efforts in turbulent economic conditions. It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me, I have different interests that I am committed to and experienced in. Until now, I've found it best to keep those interests - nonprofit donor engagement strategist and fundraising writer and real estate - wholly separate. This has meant running two businesses completely separate from each other. This would be fine if I were a team of people. But, alas, I'm simply one person. Trying to compartmentalize my efforts is not efficient at this time. However, it has motivated me to take a step back and rethink my approach to consider how I can marry the two. That time has inspired an idea that I'm now working on and look forward to sharing with you all soon! But, know this! Even with this new beginning I remain Your Neighbor, Your Agent AS WELL AS your trusted fundraising strategy and communications partner. Your Helping Role (URM staff) Treat all children with dignity and respect. In chaotic and overwhelming situations, staff may act solely on what they think needs to be done, without paying enough attention to how their actions may be experienced by the children they are trying to help. It is important to provide services in a way that treats children with dignity, including respect for the child’s autonomy and privacy. Everyone – including children with specific needs, those with disruptive behavior, or minority groups – has a right to be treated with respect and without discrimination. #URM #staff #training #familyreunification #AtPromiseYouthSolutions #Houston #Texas #trailblazer #fostercare #fosteringsaveslives #fosterparents #fostering #fosterlove #fosterfamily #fostercareawareness #fosteringsaveslives #nonprofit #fosterkids #fosterchildren #GregBoyle #lovewhatyoudo #WomeninBusiness #momtrepreneur #DreamBig #AtRiskYouth #entrepreneurlife #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur

As an individual, I often reflect on the best approach to creating sustainable impact. Both nonprofits and social enterprises are essential for addressing societal challenges, but the key difference lies in their models for #sustainability. Giving Back: A Boom in Generosity. This article in today’s Australian Financial Review was incredibly pleasing to read and deserves celebration! It highlights the surge in giving as donors leverage tax benefits to maximise their philanthropic impact. It’s heartwarming to see the enormous generosity of those featured in the report. Their commitment to making a difference should inspire us all. My Key Takeaways: 1️⃣ Philanthropy Thrives: The increasing contributions showcase a strong commitment to social impact from Australia’s donor community. 2️⃣ Strategic Generosity: Donors are thoughtfully aligning their giving with tax benefits, ensuring their contributions go further for the causes they care about. 3️⃣ Positive Momentum: This trend reflects a deeper cultural shift towards integrating giving into long-term financial and legacy planning. Kudos to the donors profiled for leading the way and for demonstrating how thoughtful generosity can create a lasting impact and all the intermediaries and trusted advisors mentioned who helped make this all happen🎉 Check out the full article below. #Philanthropy #Generosity #GivingBack #SocialImpact Conor McCarthy Peter Winneke Jeremy Dunkel Jane Jose OAM FAICD Garry Browne AM Susan Sy Michael Walsh George Pampacos Bruce Christie Louise Walsh Adam Ognall Vedran Drakulić OAM mark phillips Dave Smith, CAP ® Ujwal Kayande Kim Kelloway Michael Hutton Jessica Mendoza-Roth David Morris GAICD Natie Shevel 🎗️Judith Fiander Rachael Rofe Deepak Dobhal Kerrie Powers Shahar Burla (PhD) John Godfrey, PhD, CFRE
