Earlier this month, our Duluth, MN office organized a laboratory tour for the University of Minnesota Duluth's geography students. The tour was a resounding success, with the students displaying a high level of engagement, asking insightful questions, and showing an interest in our summer internship program. We are grateful to the team, Audrey Norlien, David Galbraith, Doug Klun, Jeffrey S. Price CPG, Quin Stangeland, and Rebecca Bischoff, for their significant role in educating the students about AET and our mission of working together to build a more certain world. #AETRocks #Geography #UMD

🌊 Excited to share my journey and insights from a 2-month internship at CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography,Goa! I analyzed “long-term swell patterns and extreme weather induced swell propagation in the Southern and North Indian Oceans”. By leveraging datasets from satellite observations ERA-5, WAVERYS and other oceanographic sources, I studied critical parameters like significant wave heights, swell periods, and extreme cyclone events. Key Findings: -Identified long-term trends in swell characteristics over the Southern Ocean and NIO for over 80years. -Examined the impact of extreme cyclonic activities on wave dynamics and swell propagation toward the Indian coast. -Highlighted significant changes in swell patterns due to extreme weather events, contributing to a better understanding of their long-term impact. This internship not only sharpened my skills in GIS, remote sensing, and data analysis but also deepened my understanding of the ocean's dynamic processes and their implications for coastal regions. Grateful to ‘Dr. Samiksha S. Volvaiker’ and ‘CSIR-NIO’ for their mentorship and guidance throughout this exciting project. Looking forward to applying these learnings in future geoinformatics projects and contributing to sustainable ocean and coastal management. #GIS #RemoteSensing #Oceanography #Geoinformatics #CSIRNIO #DataAnalysis #InternshipExperience CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography CSIR India

Hello, LinkedIn Fam 👋 So I recently hopped on a competition organised by DataCamp. Two projects were given involving analysis on some prehistoric Dinosaur data as well as IMDB movie records. My submitted entry uncovers fascinating insights about both projets in a constructive and visually-appealing manner. However, as with every competition, a winner must emerge. According to DataCamp, the 1st criteria for winning is having a minimum of 100 upvotes (on or before June 17th). Passing this criteria enables my entry to get assessed along with others. Both Winner and 4 Runners-up are rewarded with Cash grants. My entry may not be the best after all, but I solicit that y'all take a sneak peak at it and give an upvote, if it truly deserves one. Since entries can still be modified, your contributions or suggestions are highly welcomed. I'd love to hear them in the comments. https://lnkd.in/ddhTwy8N P.S: For your upvote to count, it is required to login/sign-up to a DataCamp account. Thanks for your support, Fam! 😊

🚀 Exciting DataCamp Competition: Analyzing Dinosaurs and Cinema Films Data 🎬🦖 Recently, I joined a competition on data camp and dived into a fascinating dataset of dinosaur records, uncovering some remarkable insights: 1. Dinosaur Diversity: We identified an impressive 1042 different dinosaur name. 2. The Giants Among Us: The Supersaurus and Argentinosaurus reigned as the largest dinosaurs, each reaching a towering length of 35 meters, equivalent to a 3-story building! 3. Dominant Dinosaur Types: The ornithopod type emerged as the most frequent, with 811 occurrences. [Check out my visualization on this link (https://lnkd.in/dfpjaGFh) 4. Size Over Time: Contrary to popular belief, our analysis revealed that dinosaurs did not progressively get bigger over time. 5. Interactive Exploration: Explore each record on our interactive map [here](https://lnkd.in/dfpjaGFh). --- Analyzing Cinema Films Data 🎬: The cinema films challenge was an SQL challenge where I answered questions relating to the problem at hand. Here's what I uncovered in the cinema films challenge: 1. Movie Database Size: Our analysis revealed a total of 4968 movies in the database. 2. Handling Missing Data: Notably, the budget feature had 430 rows with missing values. To address this, I would recommend strategies such as data imputation or removing rows with excessive missing data, depending on the analysis requirements. 3. Diverse Certifications: There are 13 different types of certifications or ratings in the database. 4. Top Movie-Producing Countries: The leading countries in movie production are USA, UK, France, Canada, and Germany. 5. Average Movie Duration: The average duration for English movies is approximately 107.64 minutes, while French movies average 104.67 minutes. This competition provided a fantastic opportunity to enhance our data analytics skills and gain deeper insights into the fascinating world of cinema. For more details, you can dive into my workbook @ https://lnkd.in/dfpjaGFh Give a upvote if you like it 🔼, I would appreciate any corrections, observations, or suggestions thank you 😊 #DinosaurData #DataAnalysis #Paleontology #BigData #DataScience

🚀✨ Proud to have completed my 8-week internship program with Agnirva.com Space Community, where I delved deep into the cosmos and the fascinating field of space exploration. From early astronomical observations and the telescope revolution to the beginning of the space age, I explored the first outer spaceflights, the advent of satellite technology, and the intriguing theories like the Big Bang. My journey included studying the life cycles of stars, the formation of planets, and the mysteries of comets, asteroids, and nebulae. I also gained insights into the structure of our universe, including galaxies, clusters, and superclusters. Learning about the major public and private players in the space sector, the different segments of the space industry, and the benefits of space exploration has been incredibly enlightening. Understanding the stakeholders of the space sector, space law, the Artemis Accords, and space diplomacy, along with the intersection of space with agriculture and climate, has provided me with a holistic view of this exciting field. A huge thank you to Agnirva.com Space Community for this invaluable experience. The sky is not the limit, it's just the beginning! 🚀🔭🌌 #SpaceExploration #Internship #Astronomy #Agnirva #SpaceSector #SpaceScience #Cosmos
