The US will have to wait to find out the impacts of congestion pricing on a major urban area - NYC program is put on indefinite hold. Reasons given appear to be a mix of economic (though without any actual stats/figures to back that up) and political (which are pretty obvious as most politicians are generally tolling averse). MTA will have to come up with alternative funds to back its capital program or modify the program accordingly. Not a good day for tolling and congestion relief advocates.
