🚀 Excited to share that I've completed the "Digital Consultant" program at RWTH Aachen University in Germany! 🎓 Over the span of 9 months, from May 2023 to February 2024, with diverse set of participants from 14 countries, I immersed myself in a transformative learning experience, delving into two core modules: Management and Technology Labs. 📚 Management Labs: The program provided a comprehensive understanding of strategic management, innovation, and marketing & sales. From decoding strategy processes to fostering a culture of innovation, I gained insights into market dynamics, customer-centric solutions, and effective marketing strategies. The highlight was the final workshop in a hackathon format, where I had the opportunity to apply my learnings to develop precise solutions for real-world challenges. 💻 Technology Labs: In the Technology Labs, I explored technical process landscapes, focusing on Text Analytics and Digital Transformation & Leadership. From mastering automatic text processing and sentiment analysis to enhancing leadership skills for navigating transformational landscapes, each lab equipped me with practical knowledge and tools essential for success in the digital consultancy domain. 🌟 Completing this program has been a milestone in my journey, empowering me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of digital consultancy. I'm eager to leverage these insights to drive innovation, lead transformative initiatives, and make a positive impact in the digital realm. We are very excited to share the latest report in our series on digital transformation in higher education. In our last report, we focused on what students and staff want from digital transformation and our follow up report provides insights on how university leaders can better deliver on those expectations. Taking a ‘Humans@Center’ approach around six key drivers that inspire staff and embrace their opinions can contribute to transformation success by as much as 2.6 times. This is a great read from Catherine Friday. My key takeaway - for digital transformation to succeed in higher education (or any organisation where change is not embedded into the “muscle memory”) - as leaders we have to over-emphasise the human factors like leadership, care and collaboration.
