We recently gathered at the DeepTech Alliance Clean Energy Summit in Barcelona to discuss how radical innovations can drive the future of clean energy. Enrico Deluchi, Chairman of DeepTech Alliance, reflected on the forming of the Alliance and the importance of international collaboration in transforming global challenges into growth opportunities.   🔹 The Vision: Radical innovations and international collaboration is badly needed to tackle global challenges such as carbon emissions reduction and supply chain transformations. For this reason DTU Science Park and The Danish Industry Foundation initiated DeepTech Alliance in 2018 to join forces with other startup ecosystem hubs across Europe to connect the most promising European Deep Tech startups with business partners needed to get their solutions to market and scale internationally 🔹 Achievements: Since 2021, we have assessed over 6,500 ventures, conducted six Business Creation Programs, and identified 220+ business opportunities. Our efforts have enabled successful collaborations like TechEnergy Ventures' investment in Luminescent and Bosch's partnership with IPercept. 🔹 The Challenge: Despite Europe's world-class scientific research, much of our intellectual property remains commercially inactive. By fostering cross-border collaborations, we aim to bring Europe to the forefront of global innovation. 🔹 Looking Forward: With 10 member countries and a goal to reach 20 by 2026, the DeepTech Alliance is growing. We are excited to welcome Beta-i • collaborative innovation from Portugal as our 11th member and look forward to upcoming events in Munich, Oslo, and Paris.   Enrico’s closing thoughts resonate deeply: "Transforming problems into opportunities requires more collaboration, innovation, and goodwill. 🌍Seeds of Bravery project is presented in the European innovation scene In a fruitful collaboration with Seeds of Bravery, representatives from Luxinnovation Senior Advisor Inna Perepelytsya and Project Manager Olena MALCHYK, and team from Innov8 Uliana Avtonomova 🇺🇦, Head of Funding Lab, joined the EIC Info & Networking Day on April 23 at Technoport Belval in Luxembourg. 🧩This incredible event gathered more than 100 participants and provided an opportunity to present the Seeds of Bravery project to representatives of the European Innovation Council (EIC), Europe's leading innovation initiative dedicated to finding and promoting disruptive technologies and transformative innovations. 🔹This event specifically targeted two crucial funding schemes: EIC Pathfinder and EIC Accelerator. To foster future project collaborations, B2B meetings were organised among participants interested in the EIC Pathfinder. 🚀This event was also a great opportunity for Innov8 team to glean insights from Luxinnovation GIE on how to effectively organise workshops focusing on EIC Pathfinder and Accelerator funding instruments. We specially thank Francisco Melo from Luxinnovation for organising this event. 🖇Funded by the European Union under the European Innovation Council (EIC), paving the way for the participation of Ukrainian start-ups in future EIC calls. Five takeaways after attending NORDEEP Summit in Stockholm: 1️⃣The European deep-tech ecosystem is growing. 2️⃣ Deep-tech clusters are benefiting from the convergence of public/private funding, top-notch Universities, ecosystems aligned with the European Union key strategic priorities and the presence of entrepreneurial minded decision makers. 3️⃣ More and more founders are moving and setting up their start-up where their deep-tech venture can benefit the most from the local ecosystem. 4️⃣ There is a genuine willingness, passion and determination among European founders to cooperate and build disruptive technologies in Europe. 5️⃣ Still more public and private capital is needed to compete on the world stage.
