Our Mission: Inspired by the need to make a meaningful difference, the Onyx Cares Foundation is dedicated to uplifting communities through targeted initiatives. Our mission is grounded in the belief that with the right support and resources, we can catalyze lasting positive change. I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certificate: Community Engagement: The People's Approach to Improving Health and Social Outcomes from Region 2 Public Health Training Center "By influencing policy and community development via community-driven solutions, community engagement is key to advancing health equity and social justice... Community-designed policies are more likely to address inequities, mitigate issues of power and privilege, and remove barriers to healthy behaviors." As we commemorate the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), how can we go beyond basic consultations and become more intentional about actively engaging communities in designing, implementing and evaluating solutions aimed at addressing GBV?
