I just finished full learning path & acquired “Product Management Professional Certificate”. Being a designer why I did this certification?
Its always prudent to listen and learn from industry experts & their experiences, expand our horizon & learn beyond our core skills. It includes 5 separate courses covering various aspects of product strategy, product development lifecycle & releasing products that effectively meets customer needs while achieving business objectives. All 5 courses are quite elaborate with examples to analyse and reflect on situations you already have or might come across in future. 😊
Being a product designer, partnering closely with product managers over the years, I was able to reflect on some key insights such as:
1. How to keep focus on core product strategy while being adaptable & flexible to modify based on customer inputs / research data , market situations or any emerging technical or people challenges.
2. How product roadmap documentation is often underrated & can effectively map product strategy, team's skillset, resource limitations, tech challenges and align cross-functional team working for common milestone and objectives.
3. How do we take decisions or what course of actions should be taken during various situations, conflicts or challenges faced within cross functional team during product development lifecycle.
At the end of this learning path i also enjoyed time boxed exam including 50 situation based questions. It helped me validate my learning while uplifting my confidence.🤘🤘
