🤝 Ambitious life sciences businesses tackling global health challenges pitched to a cohort of international investors at ONE BioHub today. Opportunity North East Limited partnered with Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International and Sustainable Alpha to bring the investors to Aberdeen, curating a unique opportunity for innovation-driven businesses to pitch their research commercialisation. 🌍 Seven high-potential life sciences companies, working in fields including neurodegeneration, anti-infectives, obesity, hypertension and cancer, showcased their groundbreaking work. 🌐 The investors included asset managers acting for high-net-worth individuals and family offices, institutions and VC interests, angel investors and serial tech entrepreneurs. 📍 Aberdeen is home to a distinctive life sciences cluster, developing novel research into solutions and launching them to market. ONE is building an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the sector. ONE BioHub offers space for growing businesses to innovate and commercialise their science out of the academic research environment with labs, offices, incubation and collaboration spaces, and custom grow-on space.
