Let's prototype! The Architecture and Consultation Process for EUDI Wallets in Germany is shifting into high gear. The Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND) und the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) are starting an international innovation competition (SPRIND Funke) to build EUDI WALLET PROTOTYPES. Starting from stage 2, the teams provide those wallet prototypes to the Large Scale Pilot POTENTIAL for testing in different use cases. The application deadline for participation in the SPRIND Funke “EUDI Wallet Prototypes” is May 05, 2024. An expert jury will select up to six teams for the first stage on May 16, 2024. Our latest SPRIND Challenge is live! Join our innovation competition and develop the future of digital identity. Digital proof of identity is an important basis for the digitalization of our lives. Digital wallets enable users to receive, manage, and present proof of identity and other documentation as part of digital processes. This will make digital wallets an essential part of our society’s digital infrastructure. They will enable the complete digitalization of processes and thus allow for completely new approaches to problems, which also makes them the basis for disruptive innovations. Various approaches are currently being discussed for implementing the wallets, but there is not enough implementation experience to make a well-founded decision on the most suitable approach. Therefore, we start the new SPRIND Funke "Eudi Wallet Prototypes". Check out all the info at https://lnkd.in/dqx2MPKh including how to secure up to 950.000 € in funding over the three stages of the competition. 🌟 AxeCon 2024 Conference Starts Today! 🌟 After analyzing all the presentations, I must say they underscore the need for a holistic approach to accessibility that encompasses both technological innovations and a deep understanding of human needs. Key insights from the presentations include: - The Role of AI and LLM in Enhancing Accessibility: Artificial intelligence technology promises to revolutionize accessibility by providing tools and services that are more tailored to individual user needs. - The Importance of Designing for Accessibility: Standards like WCAG 2.2 and design systems form the foundation for creating more inclusive digital experiences. - The Significance of Co-Creation with Communities: Direct involvement of people with disabilities in the design process is crucial for a deeper understanding of their needs and expectations. - Ethical Considerations in AI: The development of artificial intelligence must consider human diversity and self-determination to ensure technology serves everyone, without exception. - Measuring and Benchmarking Accessibility: Metrics and narratives are essential for measuring progress and engaging stakeholders in the process of improving accessibility. - Adapting Technology to People: Efforts should be made to create solutions that support human diversity, rather than expecting people to adapt to technology. In today's fast-paced world, staying ahead in innovation is crucial for any country aiming to maintain its competitive edge. For businesses, policymakers, and educators, the Innovation Scorecard is invaluable. It highlights where resources are best allocated, which policies are working, and where more attention is needed. This enables informed decisions that foster sustainable growth and development. Its always interesting to see how countries are scored, and how within the innovation arena, countries are classified as Leaders all the way to Emerging Innovators. That not only tell us how a country is performing, but most importantly, it illustrates the possibilities and opportunities to enhance our society, technology and more through innovation.

🧐 "The task is not so much to see what no one yet has seen, but to think what nobody yet has thought about that which everybody sees" * The problem is that those who are brave enough to think differently about that which everybody sees are often discouraged by the "we've always done it this way" camp with something to lose, or those who simply can't envisage a different future I don't disagree that some ideas are bad and deservedly disappear. I also don't disagree that some bad ideas appear to be good ideas at the time, but then later turn out not to be so good... but when the truly good ideas don't make it, then we all lose Technology can be transformational, but often the full value of it is never realised because instead of questioning whether we'd have done it that way if we had the tools we have today, we choose the easier path of applying the new tools as a band-aid over yesterdays problems No one disagrees that change is hard, but it could be a little easier if there was a willingness on either side to give a little My Innovation Portal on the Smart Ports Alliance website will be one such place where a meeting of minds - a "coalition of the willing" as one of my industry colleagues once put it - can happen If you are an open-minded business person, and willing to consider how your problem might be solved by using new enablers to do things differently, or you are an open minded technologist, and willing to learn why your idea might not be the next big thing you thought it was, or how you might change it to make it the next big thing, then this place is for you *The quote is from Arthur Schopenhauer, 1788-1860 #ports #smartports #innovation
