Sipping coffee in my garden, I'm struck by how quickly it's become a wild, beautiful space. This observation led me to reflect on sustainability, from my small plot to global goals. In my latest newsletter, I explore how tending a garden mirrors our approach to personal habits and global challenges. I delve into the UN Sustainable Development Goals, finding parallels with my own gardening philosophy. Both require adaptability, long-term thinking, and a balance between chaos and control. I also grapple with a personal paradox: why is it easier to trust the process in my garden than in forming new habits? Insights from psychologist Wendy Wood shed light on this question, revealing how our environment shapes our behaviors. From the 'rolklaver' overtaking my pond to the challenge of making drawing a daily habit, I've found that creating the right environment is key to nurturing growth - whether in gardens, global initiatives, or personal development. Join me in pondering how we can create spaces where sustainable practices flourish, in all areas of our lives. #Sustainability #PersonalGrowth #Gardening

🌱 Talk to Your Plants? Now They Can Talk Back! 🤖 Imagine a garden that not only listens to your whispers but responds! 🪴✨ Next year's Chelsea Flower Show will unveil the first-ever AI-powered garden created by garden designer Tom Massey in partnership with Microsoft. The Avanade 'intelligent' garden features sensors that monitor soil conditions, empowering visitors to check in on their plants. Ever wondered what your plants need? They could respond with messages like 'I need more water!' 💧 This innovative tech not only makes gardening easier but also addresses water conservation—a critical concern as urban areas face droughts. Rather than wasting water on a timer, this system waters plants only when needed. 🌍💚 Such advancements could redefine how we interact with nature and promote sustainable practices. Join the conversation about the future of gardening—let's make our gardens a little smarter! 💬https://lnkd.in/erXk_Bvm #AI #Gardening #Sustainability #Innovation #ChelseaFlowerShow
