Interested in 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬? Curious about 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬? 𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 ... 👀 ----- A few weeks ago, I finished my first Substack "course": "𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡", where I showed you how to build the 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 as defined by Andrew Ng: 🔶 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 🤔 🔶 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 🛠 🔶 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 🧠 🔶 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 👯 In this project, I didn't rely on LangChain, LlamaIndex or CrewAI; 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 Groq 𝐋𝐋𝐌𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧! Don't get me wrong, those frameworks are fantastic but, if you really want to understand what's going under the hood ... 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨! 💪 As 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐲𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐧 famously said: "𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝, 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝". I'll add to that: "𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡, 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝". That's why I created a this full series on Agentic Patterns! This is a free course, and you have the following resources available (you can choose the one your prefer 🤣): 🎥 A 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 covering each pattern in detail. 💻 A 𝐆𝐢𝐭𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 containing all the implementations. 📕 A series of 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 in my 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤. I’ll share all the resources in the comments below. Feel free to explore them and share your thoughts! 👇 Happy learning! 😁 ----- 💡 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐋, 𝐌𝐋𝐎𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 #mlops #machinelearning #datascience #llm

Really excited about this #RAG example that Thierry Jean cooked up! Uses LanceDB, dltHub and #Burr to build a simple but flexible application that ingests, stores, and queries your favorite substack blog posts. - dltHub provides ingestion capabilities to make loading of substack posts easy - LanceDB enables vector storage for efficient retrieval - #Burr ties it together in a querying engine, adding production-readiness -- visibility, persistence, etc...

I learnt it the hard way. Nobody benefits from a lot of lines of code. It's hard to maintain. It's hard to document. It's hard to evolve. It's hard to optimise. It is of no benefit to you, your product, your peers, or your clients. Make your code as short as possible. #datascience
