The Power of the Universe in our hand! As an employee at IONOS, the origin of the energy we use is particularly close to my heart. As part of a company that offers cloud products, I am aware that the energy demand of our data centers is immense and therefore can have a significant impact on the environment. Assuming the necessary infrastructure in the form of district heating services is available, for example, specially built rack servers of the Sapphire-Rapids generation, designed for both air and water cooling, can make a significant contribution to heat supply. Especially because we are a #cloud company, I am eagerly following the developments in the area of software- or cloud-based technological #trends, especially regarding #SmartGrid solutions. Smart grids are a further development of the electrical network of the 20th century that utilise bidirectional communication and intelligent devices. The two-way transmission of electricity and information optimises the efficiency of the electricity distribution network. This technology offers numerous opportunities to improve the efficiency of the energy infrastructure, access renewable energy sources more flexibly and manage demand. Looking ahead, I am particularly hopeful about the potential of #FusionEnergy as a pioneering solution to the global demand for clean energy. Fusion energy holds the potential to become an almost limitless and extremely clean energy source that could overcome the existing barriers and burdens of conventional energy generation. Its deployment could signify a turning point in our pursuit of a #sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply. Many research institutions around the world are working in a veritable race to develop this energy source. This announcement by VW and QS proves that large-scale manufacturing is very different than technology innovations and pilot operations. This is yet another example that proves the logic of our OneD business model, which is based on R&D Joint Development Agreements + SINANODE Pilot Manufacturing Agreements + Large-Scale SINANODE Technology Transfer & Licensing Agreements. This is possible because of OneD foundational IP portfolio of > 200 granted patents providing sufficient FTO (Freedom to Operate) to its industrial licensees. QS is licensing VW to scale up the mass production of ASSB technology (read PR). I have said many times that capital intensive large-scale manufacturing requires a large industrial company with deep manufacturing expertise and the lower cost of equity capital & lines of credits that only large established and profitable publicly traded companies have.
