🎉 Christmas parties are a great way to thank your team for their hard work. When organising your festive gathering, consider: ✅ Choosing a venue and theme that suits all employees. ✅ Offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. ✅ Including activities that encourage team bonding. ✅ Making attendance optional to avoid pressuring anyone. A well-planned party is more than just a fun night – it is an opportunity to strengthen team relationships and show your appreciation.

Well, now you get to learn 5 fun facts about Sheila 🖐️ 1️⃣ Go-to coffee order for work: "Dunkin’s... always decaf, with a touch of caramel and oat milk." 2️⃣ Music or silence for deep work? "It depends on the work, but for deep focus, you can find ocean sounds filling the silence." 3️⃣ Favorite team activity: "While I love a nice team dinner, I enjoy going to a good sporting event with the team and love when we can get together for paint night." 4️⃣ Best way to destress after work/favorite hobby: "I love reading or heading out for a drive to the beach. Celebrating our top sales (and net profit) month to date for Dream Magic Superfood Powders 💚❤️💙🖤💜💛 Our “Heid doon for June” intention has served us well and we are looking back over the month feeling proud of what we have achieved. It’s been a constant reflection on what is going well, what we could tweak going forward and what we need to let go of. Here are some of our insights… 💚We knew June was going to be crazy busy with events like the Royal Highland Show and The Great British Food Festival (as well as our regular markets) so looking after our health and wellness was of top priority. Thank goodness that we have our range of superfood powder blends to help with that 😜. We also prioritised fitness, eating well and sleep. 🖤The importance of having time away from the business which meant scheduling in personal downtime, time as a couple (not taking about the business 🤫), family time and fun. ❤️We made the commitment to see every event as a WIN regardless of the sales. It was about meeting lovely people, finding out about their desires and challenges, sharing what we stand for in the health and wellness space and having faith that the sales will come 💰. 💙Mindset was key as was keeping ourselves attached to the BIG WHY - making the world healthier and happier, one superfood pouch at a time. This helped to overcome the dread thoughts of long days and being at events where the Scottish summer was at its glorious best ☔️🤪 💜Working on the business as well as in the business. Being on point with the financials, the socials, the stock control and ALL the other million things you have to keep on top of as a biz owner. 🤹♀️ 💛Carefully building out the team, knowing that to scale we can’t do it alone and June was about welcoming in new resellers and stockists from all over the UK as well as inviting in experts in aspects of the business that we don’t enjoy or are outwith our skill set. 👭👬 Our motto for this month “let’s make July Joyful” and so far it’s shaping up nicely with us focusing on training the sales team, attending events, festivals and a family holiday to Ibiza☀️! What are your key insights from June? 💚 #businessreflections #superfoodpowders #topsalesmonth

Well, what a Grand Final that was last week! Brisbane Lions fans are probably still buzzing after that win. As for me? Let’s just say my excitement was a bit… tempered. Carlton finishing 8th wasn’t quite the dream, but hey, there’s always next year, right? 😅 Now, while everyone was caught up in the game, I couldn’t help but think about all the logistics that make an event like that possible. With over 100,000 fans packed into the MCG, the scale of getting food, drinks, and merchandise into the stadium is massive. But that’s just part of it. You’ve got food stalls all around the MCG to think about, and let’s not forget the pubs across Melbourne packed with people watching the game live. Every one of those places needs supplies to keep the fans fed, lubricated and happy. It’s a lot more than what meets the eye! Being in logistics myself, I know how complex these operations can be. It takes a well-oiled machine to keep everything running smoothly. It reminds me of when we handled the logistics for 120 VIP rooms at SeaWorld—delivering everything from dining tables to ottomans and lounges. Sure, it was a challenge, but it’s the kind of work that keeps us on our toes. We had 12 talented team members out there making sure everything was spot-on. And you know what? Instead of just doing the usual time-sensitive deliveries to the docks or shop floors, our crew got to stretch their legs a bit and enjoy the day at SeaWorld while getting the job done. It was a nice break from the norm! So, while everyone was cheering for their team at the Grand Final, I was tipping my hat to the behind-the-scenes heroes—the logistics teams making sure everything runs smoothly. Without them, you’d have hungry fans inside and outside the stadium, and no merch flying off the shelves. And believe me, nobody wants that kind of chaos! If you’re planning a big event and want a logistics team that can handle the pressure (and still have a bit of fun), let’s chat. We’ll make sure everything runs smoother than Carlton’s season… 😄

As we enter August, it’s naturally a much quieter month for the catering and events industry. This can be a real strain on business finances & cash flow. But what Dinner Ladies is focusing on in this quieter time is: 1. Training - completing vital seasonal food, drink and service training with the team so we are going into the next season stronger 💪🏼 2. Investing in relationships - Strengthening client relationships with showcases & visiting our venues 3. Team bonding - making time for a team holiday as well as more pub trips and picnics 4. Reflecting & reevaluating - Thinking about our position for the year, where we are at with our goals, what’s working well and what’s not so we can make changes #cateringindustry #eventsindustry #businessgoals #team

While (almost!) everyone is aware that people are different and that most seasoned professionals are trained in different personality styles, what is less obvious to grasp are our different motivational styles. In fact, the motivational core - what gives a person energy and drives them forward - is not the same for everyone. Knowing this is important because what energises a person has an impact on so many important things. The aim is to get to know each other and find out what fuels each of us. Mélissa Paij Séverine L. Starbucks recently welcomed its new CEO, Brian Niccol. And while I appreciate coffee - and coffee chains - can be a polarizing topic, there was something in his message that caught my eye. Here are the four areas that he and his team will focus on initially: 1. Empowering our baristas to take care of our customers. 2. Get the morning right, every morning. 3. Reestablishing Starbucks as the community coffeehouse. 4. Telling our story. While it's a back-to-basics approach, #4 stood out to me. Storytelling is an incredibly powerful tool and everyone has a story to tell. It creates emotional connections, making brands relatable and memorable. Through stories, brands can communicate their values, mission, and personality in a way that resonates with audiences on a deeper level. Stories evoke emotions, foster trust, and engage customers by showing rather than telling what the brand stands for. This helps differentiate the brand in a crowded market, builds loyalty, and turns customers into advocates. Storytelling also simplifies complex ideas, making it easier for people to understand and connect with a brand's message. Storytelling is peopley... and #PeopleLovePeople. Are you using storytelling in your strategy? Want to learn more? Let's talk... reach out via DM or send me a message via our website. https://lnkd.in/ezAqaxyh. #TellAStory #StrategicStorytelling
