According to a United Nations Report, “Education will be the lynchpin of a sustainable development agenda whose success relies on individuals, throughout their lifetime, acquiring relevant knowledge and developing positive attitudes to address global challenges”. It was this realization that sparked the urgency for the Leading on Purpose team and I to invite the incomparable Joseph Kimani Njuguna to this week's episode. 📣 For those who have been following the proceedings of the #sireneproject, we have some exciting news to share: the article we've been working on was recently published in volume 63 of Technium Social Sciences Journal! The article focuses on the ‘Transnational Local-sphere Model’; a theoretical framework describing the possible interactions between actors, sectors, institutions, and ecosystems to foster economic and social development. The model is based on previous helix frameworks, but aims to connect a network of stakeholders through existing local social innovation ecosystems. Interested? You know the kind of work that's a lot of work but doesn't feel like a lot of work? For me, preparing to host conferences and panels feels exactly that way. I love diving deep into a specific topic, doing research on my speakers, thinking of what question to ask which participant, how to get from one segment to the other and most importantly, how to keep the audience engaged.
