#AAO2024: Systemic characteristics including lower 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure (BP) and systolic BP are associated with faster glaucoma progression, as monitored using standard automated perimetry (SAP) mean deviation, according to a poster introduced at the annual meeting of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) in Chicago, October 18 to 21, 2024. Researchers proposed these factors may serve to predict risk for glaucomatous visual field progression.
