Ever notice how the fear of failure can really trip us up? That's why I want to share this golden nugget from Dr. Elizabeth Lombardo. You can't mess up volunteering! It's all about getting out there, making connections, and growing from the experience without the pressure of perfection. 🤯 When our students see that even their heroes have failed—and bounced back stronger—they learn that failure isn't the end, it's just a step in the journey. 🚀So, educators, how can we create more win-win situations in our schools to boost student confidence and resilience? Let's turn setbacks into epic comebacks! 💪 #YouthEmpowerment #EducationInnovation #BuildingConfidence

3 Tips on how to NOT get CYNICAL about GIVING TUESDAY! 🙄 Happy Giving Tuesday. This is a really special day that it can be easy to feel cynical about or a little jaded about--when you're getting contacted by various organizations or non-profits asking if you want to participate in supporting what they're doing and their mission. But I think today I woke up particularly thankful for having been a part of the leadership team of a non-for-profit now for a few years with Binmin and the Christian ministry that we have to folks finding their next step in their spiritual life. And I think I realized that it is a blessing to see how much good is being done by so many non-profits--even the handful of ones that I get to be connected with. I think today made me think of 3 STEPS that I should be considering as I look at these various nonprofits and organizations: 1--One is to be PRAYING. 🙏 Praying with THANKS that there's so much good work being done and thanking a real God who's in charge of it all. He's the only one that can ultimately solve the problems that so many non-profits are trying to fix in this broken world. 2--Consider GIVING. 🤲 End-of-year is oftentime the best time to give. People are doing matching gifts, or things like Binmin: we have a BIG Giveaway. We're excited to just kind of give additional gifts and pre-releases to people. 3--I need to consider SHARING. 🤗 And telling other people about the ministries that I'm a part of (whether directly or through my efforts like Binmin or supporting other ministries and organizations that I really believe in what they're doing here in the US and other places in the world). Because that spreads the good to other places. Those 3 steps may not be entirely new, but just an encouragement today on a beautiful day. To know that Giving Tuesday is a gift that we can be thankful for and not just be cynical about. There's a lot of good being done. And praise God for that. https://lnkd.in/gsB-QVtM Check out The Binmin BIG Giving Giveaway: https://lnkd.in/giyVki5z #givingtuesday #giving #binmin #binminpodcast #stewardship #generosity #nonprofitsforgood

A quick 60-second guide to giving back: How to make a difference (and help your community) Giving back takes commitment. Your actions need to actually create impact. Here are the basics: 1. Choose the cause that resonates with you. 2. Utilize your skills and resources to contribute. 3. Put your passion into action. Most people try this once and stop. But making a difference is a long-term effort. (you need to keep at it) Many expect giving back to be effortless. ↳ and they lose motivation too soon. A strong commitment gets you 70% of the way there. This is true regardless of the cause. #GiveBack #CommunityImpact #MakeADifference #CommitToChange

As we reflect on the past year, we’re reminded of the lives touched by the work we do – and the incredible impact of your support. This past year, Kids' Chance of Connecticut was able to provide vital scholarships to the kids of workers who have been injured or tragically lost their lives on the job. But the work is far from over, and we need your help to ensure that the promise of a brighter future remains within reach for these families. This holiday season, we are asking for your continued support in helping us support kids facing unimaginable loss. Kids’ Chance scholarships give young people the opportunity to pursue their education, follow their dreams and build a future that might otherwise be out of reach. Your gift – whether large or small – can make an extraordinary difference in these young lives. With the cost of education rising every year, these scholarships provide crucial financial relief, allowing kids to focus on their studies and their futures instead of the challenges their families have faced. But we cannot do this work alone. We rely on the generosity of people like you to continue this important mission. Please consider making a year-end gift that will change the life of a child in need. With your support, we can ensure that these kids, who have already lost so much, do not also lose their chance for a brighter tomorrow. www.kidschancect.org

Part 2: So then as I am working as a volunteer, I am assigned a co volunteer, and subsequently others, who are going through salvation army or others programs to overcome life challenges. Have already worked with the like, individual passions in the exclusive value of each hooters girl and then I put one who needs their help in front of them. And what better motive. It brings out the passions, it matured the ability of all of them when it came to their discernment because they exercise their skills with each other according to scripture in the book of Hebrews. So all parties come outside of their barriers that have prohibited them from moving forward in these specific areas in their life and by it all of them have motivated each other. This motivates every other person that walks in and deals with those hooters girl today or who they're going to run into in school or their boyfriends or whatever else. It has an impact on everyone the young man from the halfway house is going to impact today as he is volunteering for Tampa Bay harvest and all the others in his halfway house and in his sphere of influence.... So now take that concept and rearrange it and put it into a cab company and the concept of the 10% of the people that get in my cab that are at rock bottom... So can I rebuild the same concept in an area where there is no Hooters, Cookeville Tennessee? Can I do it with girls from trap houses and from the streets and among the working poor? Will this motivate them out of their challenges in the same way it does the Hooters girls who are in college degree programs and doing something very valuable with their lives in Tampa? This is 1-800 save a girl. This is the new authentic Santa clause and the development of such a mission to confront broken family issues to overcome cycles of poverty that come from the broken family as a human resources initiative.
