This Rizal Day, we honor not just a hero, but a true anteambulo—someone who clears the path for others to succeed. Dr. José Rizal's life was dedicated to paving the way for a freer, more enlightened Philippines through his words, deeds, and sacrifice. At OpsWerks, we strive to embody the spirit of being an anteambulo: breaking norms, championing growth, and empowering those around us to be their best selves. Let’s take inspiration from Rizal to make meaningful contributions to our communities. Mabuhay ang diwa ni Rizal! 🇵🇭

Haco Industries Kenya Limited together with Impact Team (I-Team) had a privilege to mentor and inspire 2000 students at Olkejuodo High School in Kajiado County. This was the conversation - When we talk about success and achieving our goals, we often get caught up in our beginnings. It’s easy to feel limited by our circumstances, whether it’s the place we come from, the resources we have, or the challenges we face. However, what truly matters is not where we start, but how we perceive ourselves and the aspirations we hold for the future. How you see yourself can shape your actions, decisions, and ultimately, your destiny. If you believe you are capable, talented, and deserving of success, you are more likely to take bold steps towards your goals. It’s essential to cultivate a positive and empowering self-image. Believe in your potential and embrace your unique strengths. Haco Industries Kenya Limited addressing the gaps of motivation and self-esteem, making a meaningful contribution to students’ daily lives and academic journey.
Last Saturday was a tremendous success! 🎉 Heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team who sacrificed their time and resources to make a difference in Kajiado County (Olkejuado High School). 🙏 Special appreciation goes out to our partners at Haco Industries Kenya Limited . The smiles on the students' faces were priceless. 😊✨

🌍 Bridging Worlds: Sami and Kogi 🌍 As we near the end of a year filled with challenges, growth, and significant milestones, let’s take a moment to pause, reflect, and honor the quieter, often unseen developments that hold profound importance for life’s balance. This year, an extraordinary event unfolded in the Arctic tundra: a deeply moving encounter between the Sami and the Kogi. Two years after Sami elder Lars Henrik asked the Kogi Mamos for spiritual support, a powerful ritual took place. Sacred reindeer antlers, lost for generations, were returned to holy sites in a ceremony of profound reconnection. This ritual not only strengthened Sami traditions but also inspired the revival of long-forgotten practices, like the ancient art of making reindeer cheese. Remarkably, this cheese played a pivotal role in starting healing a deep, intergenerational conflict within a Sami family – a testament to how cultural and spiritual bonds can bridge divides and mend wounds. 🎥 Dive into the depth and significance of this encounter through the moving video created by our talented cameraman, Holden, who beautifully captured this historic moment. This journey is a powerful reminder that we are all interconnected. Together, we can restore balance, revitalize traditions, and create a brighter, more harmonious future. Let’s continue walking this path – alive, aware, and united. 🌍 https://lnkd.in/eU_iYQ63?

Embracing the Batwa Spirit in the Modern World The Batwa people, an indigenous group known for their short stature - with a 500,000-year+ legacy, show us that true strength lies in leveraging our unique abilities. Known for being the first fighters to use snipers, they mastered the art of strategic advantage, turning their forest environment into a powerful ally. Their success came from exceptional situational awareness and innovative tactics in a world where physical strength was considered supreme. As we navigate the modern, ever evolving world, let’s channel the Batwa’s resourcefulness. Use your environment to your advantage, just as they used the forest. Adapt with agility, and identify and exploit vantage points(snipers) from within your circumstances.

Let’s talk ceremony! There are many types of cultural practices that occur as part of ceremony, yet the key element of Ceremony is to shift attention and focus so that intentions can come to fruition and are prioritised. Traditionally, we had Welcome ceremonies for example that set the tone for visits coming onto Ngurra (Country). These are still practiced and operate in different ways depending on Nation. We, as a family engage in Ceremony when our daughter competes for track and field. Our way of continuing to honour our ancestors. This week, she did the same. This is not something that Indigenous peoples just do during special events. This is practiced often in many different ways. Although we don’t paint up with our earth-gifted ochre, our intentions are the same. It’s about focus, intentions and walking with good spirit: yanma budyari gumada. On a side note, this little warrior did extremely well, winning the 100m, Long Jump and setting a new district record in the process. #dharug #blakloudproud #culturalpractices #Indigenouseducation #goodintentions
