🌟 TCT Conference Recap: Prof. Lei Song Unveils Phase III Results of IBS 🌟 At this year’s TCT conference, we were excited to witness Prof. Lei Song’s presentation of the IRONMAN Phase III clinical trial results for IBS! This is an exciting milestone that highlights not only the team’s research excellence but also brings an innovative solution to the field of cardiovascular treatment. 🔹 Ground-breaking Results: Phase III data show that iron-based stents maintain vascular patency with outstanding biocompatibility, significantly reducing the incidence of complications. 🔹 Better for Patients: Compared to traditional stents, iron-based stents offer enhanced degradability and biocompatibility, substantially lowering the burden of long-term follow-up and providing a safer, more effective treatment option for patients. 🔹 Gratitude for the Team's Dedication: Prof. Runlin Gao and Prof. Lei Song with his team have demonstrated rigorous scientific dedication and perseverance, driving progress in cardiovascular medical technology and making high-quality care more accessible. A huge thank you to all the researchers, clinicians, and patients involved in this project! We look forward to seeing these findings swiftly translated into clinical practice, benefiting more patients. #CardiovascularInnovation #TCT2024 #IronBasedScaffold #MedTech #ClinicalTrials #HealthTech #Biotyx #IBS #IronBasedScaffold

Meaningful innovation + world-class training + passionate physicians = SUCCESS! Meaningful Innovation. Our pulsed field ablation (PFA) therapy treats patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) while reducing the complications associated with thermal ablation. + World-class training. Last week, our PFA experts, some of the best I've known, travelled to Taiwan to train and support distinguished physicians at the Veterans General Hospital, letting them experience how this therapy has the potential to transform patient lives. + Passionate physicians. The physicians at Veterans have important scientific and clinical questions related to PFA that they intend to help us answer. = Success. The first cases in Taiwan were successful as part of an investigator-sponsored research study. Congratulations to Annie Kuo, David Chao, Seven Tsai and the whole team for all the hard work. With more than 40,000 AF patients treated with PFA globally, Boston Scientific is delivering on our commitment to advance science for life with this #meaningfulinnovation. #BostonScientificAPAC #Innovation

OCCUPI, an Investigator Initiated Study led by Dr BK Kim (Severance Hospital, S Korea) was presented as a late-breaker at just concluded ESC. The study which was also simultaneously published in prestigious Lancet demonstrated that OCT-guided PCI significantly improves clinical outcomes and enhances safety and effectiveness of coronary stenting compared to conventional angiography-guided PCI in complex cases. The data was presented just a couple of days after the revision of ESC guidelines for the treatment of CCS, which revised the Intravascular Imaging (OCT/IVUS for complex lesion) to the highest possible level IA. The results from OCCUPI and the new recommendations will likely change the practice of PCI with DES for complex coronary lesions by providing stronger support for the superior benefits of OCT guidance over conventional angio-guided PCI. Many congratulations to the Investigators of OCCUPI for running this large RCT.. #OCT #ComplexPCI #DES #ESC2024 #InvestigatorInitiatedStudy #Abbottproud
