3 Thoughts about Changing career midlife After needing to pivot due to unforeseen circumstances (😷), here are three things that have helped me during my fairly recent career change: 1️⃣ It's never too late to learn! The key is to be curious and explore avenues to foster a growth mindset 📚 2️⃣ Passion can be a byproduct of learning and success! The most often asked question for me about being a trumpet player 🎺 transitioning into Sales 🧑💻 has been how I can go from something passionate about something that I know nothing about. I found out that passion can be a product of a learning mindset, which, when applied strategically, fosters success. 3️⃣Use and expand your network. The exciting thing about a new career in midlife is that you are gaining access to new people in a new industry. Leverage this, along with other more established networks. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people; more often than not, people still want to help other people. I hope that these posts are useful. How are you finding your career change, or what thoughts do you have about changing careers? #MidlifeCareerChange #LifelongLearning #Upskilling #PersonalDevelopment #CareerGrowth

Think of your career as a puzzle you've been working on for years. The pieces are your skills, experiences, and knowledge. Now, you might think changing careers means dumping those pieces and starting a brand new puzzle from scratch. Nope. You don't need a new puzzle. Instead, think of your existing puzzle pieces (skills) as versatile bits that can fit into multiple other puzzles. Your skills aren't restricted to one picture. They can be rearranged to create a dozen different career paths. 💡 The key is recognizing the adaptability of your EXISTING puzzle pieces. Look at how each piece can fit into different roles and industries. → First, understand the versatility of your skills. → Next, reassemble your puzzle, → Then, you can create new and exciting career paths. Without starting from zero. You already have all the pieces you need. It's just a matter of seeing where they can take you next. That's what my Career Alignment Accelerator Course is all about: Building on your existing foundation - regardless of your background. Stop wasting time applying for jobs that don’t excite you. It's time you finally focus on a more fulfilling career that aligns with your long-term goals. #NadejiahSpeaks #careercoach #careerchange #jobseekers #careeradvice Need a proven process to help you plan your pivot step-by-step and be job-search-ready within 30 days? 🤎 DM me 'PIVOT' to book a consultation and get started.

Most people think that you’re supposed to pick one career path and stay on it for the rest of your life.
