We are excited to share progress on our Flight of the Vultures expedition! A huge thank you to John Elkington for supporting our mission with a generous donation to our Crowdfunder, and a powerful endorsement. Vultures are nature’s frontline defenders, preventing disease and maintaining ecological balance. Their alarming decline - 99% in some species - threatens both ecosystems and public health. Without them, we face increased disease, overwhelmed waste systems, and an extra 13 million cars' worth of CO2 emissions annually. Through global expeditions and research, Conservation Without Borders is raising awareness and rallying a global coalition to protect the vulture – the world’s most endganged animal. Through partnerships with conservationists, companies, government and educational institutions, we will be ready to not just protect vultures but prevent future health crises. Together, we’re driving actionable solutions to protect these essential birds. But this is only possible with support from industries, businesses and individuals. Help us secure the future of vultures and our future generations by donating to our Crowdfunder, where Aviva are matching up to £250 of each donation, to allow us to reach our goal faster. https://lnkd.in/dhRYh9ut Sacha Dench Volans Crowdfunder UK

WHERE do YOUR hard-earned, after-tax $'s go when you donate (to save animals lives?). HOW are people's generous donations used when donating to ' Greater Good Charities? Well, almost $800,000.00 PER YEAR goes to pay their top 4 Board members.. 2nd # shown 'compensation'. Key Employees and Officers Compensation: Liz Baker (Chief Executive Officer) $222,000 / $19,470 Noah Horton (Chief Operating Officer) $168,442 / $12,038 Stephen Minter (General Counsel) $163,905 / $9,487 Jemimah Okantey (Chief Financial Officer) $159,150 / $11,854 $154 MILLION in revenue. Almost $16 MILLION in assets. While the daily kill rate in shelters climbs. 5500 per day in 2022 7400 per day in 2024 OVER 9000 per day in 2025. How are they fixing this problem (while taking great salaries and building their assets)? President of the ASPCA = $1 million+ per year: His annual salary as of 2023 was $750,000 base salary, with $276,000 in bonuses and benefits of $47,859. Humane Society average executive salary = $268,559 a year. HOW are they not profiting from these deaths? Making $200K a year while 7400 cats and dogs are killed daily. 1 every 10 seconds. Riding people's emotions to donate is BIG $'s even for rescues I KNOW OF that: 1. purchased 30 acres (NY) now using animal abusing Amish for renovations. The Amish, operate the largest puppy mills in the US along with blinding 2 year old horses they've run into the ground and put up for sale at meat slaughter auctions to be killed in the most horrific way in Mexico. 2. Collected $40,000. in donations to place a down-payment on a property that... has NEVER been purchased or mentioned again. 3. Takes trips to the Dominican Rep. to bring back a few dogs when 1000's are suffering right here at home. 4. Started a $500,000. GoFundMe to literally pay off their farm, buy the farm next to it and build Air B&B's for they to make more revenue. Assets they KEEP in case they EVER shut down their sanctuary 5. Check out the extensive renovations to a Cat Cafe in Brooklyn. I have dozens more examples. So HOW do these MILLION$ of $'s raised in kind donations SPAYING AND NEUTERING the 100 MILLION cats suffering TODAY in the US and Canada? Answer: IT DOESN'T! Any 2 of those cats WILL produce 420,000 kittens in ONLY 7 years. Show me HOW these 'rescues' are FIXING this problem. They are operating to solely pay for their own assets, lifestyles, vehicles and trips. FOLLOW our page for the ONLY COLLECTIVE PLAN in the WORLD to empty the shelters and HELP those 100 MILLION ferals. I will NEVER ask you to donate your hard-earned, after tax $'s WITHOUT offering you FULL VALUE for any $'s spent from our global online stores. Share + Shop. The BIG difference between OUR offerings and just donating to rescues building their assets is YOU WILL RECEIVE IN RETURN FOR YOUR MONEY daily necessities YOU are ALREADY PAYING for every day of your lives. What about… Glo Dollar for climate action 🌱 Glo Dollar for animal rights 🐷 Glo Dollar for [fill in cause you’re passionate about] Those were the questions/requests I heard most since Glo Dollar’s launch. That's why we've made a big upgrade. From now on, if you hold Glo Dollars, you have the power to decide which charities and public goods we support. Holding Glo Dollars, you support causes that matter to you. At no cost: 1. You buy Glo Dollars and choose the cause you want to support. 2. The fiat backing Glo Dollar is invested, generating revenue. 3. We donate 100% of the profits from these investments to public goods and charities. Why does it matter? The stablecoin market has grown to $150 billion—earning over $7 billion in profit/yield each year. If all of that would be in Glo Dollars, $7 billion would be channeled to charities and public goods. If you’d like to play a role in helping us build the world’s largest philanthropic funding mechanism, reach out via DM.

🌻 SPOTLIGHT on case study SEEDBALL #Seedball is a non-profit company which aims to increase the abundance of British wildflowers and support the wildlife that depends on them. The company was created by Emily and Ana who had a passion to fill the world with wildflowers Each ‘seedball’ is a mini ecosystem with 30 to 100 seeds per ball depending on the variety; with a chilli powder to deter slugs and snails eating the young shoots; peat-free compost to provide nutrition; and clay to protect seeds from predators. They needed an environmentally responsible pack to house their unique seedballs and which also offered sturdy protection. Our response? A shallow seamless box which contains twenty seedballs. Because each pack is made from metal, it can be infinitely recycled or even reused in the home for keeping next year’s seeds. P Wilkinson Containers holds a dedicated supply of labels and packs ready for Emily and Ana to call upon whenever needed, helping save space at Seedball HQ. #seedball #nonprofit #seedcompany #reuse #wildflowers #ukwildflowers #peatfree #metalpackaging #canmakersoflondon #sustainablepackaging #ecopackaging #metaltin #packagingsolution #packagingspecialist

Often travellers don't realise that the animal they are posing with has been captured from the wild so that tourists can interact with them. Here we provide a simple solution, only pose where there is permission, and where will there be permission? Today is #GlobalRecyclingDay ♻️ and recycling is one of the easiest ways to lighten your impact on the planet🌍 Another great way to lighten your footprint on the environment is to reduce, refine and replace animal products in your diet 😉🐾 Factory farming is the leading cause of animal cruelty worldwide and is a major contributor to numerous global problems. Globally, it is estimated that 80 billion farm animals are farmed for food each year, of which 50 billion animals are reared in intensive farms. One of the easiest ways to tackle the negative implications of factory farming is through something very simple - diet change. Everyone can make an impactful positive contribution towards animal welfare, and planetary health, by drastically reducing their consumption of animal-based products and increasing the intake of plant-based foods. It doesn’t need to be complicated or scary! I support FOUR PAWS encouraging people to follow and support an animal-friendly lifestyle by reducing their consumption of animal-based products and replacing them in their diet with plant-based alternatives. To do this, FOUR PAWS recommends the principle of the 3Rs: • Reducing the consumption of meat and other animal-based products • Refining one’s diet by choosing products from certified high animal welfare standards and ultimately • Replacing animal-based products with plant-based alternatives. Why help one animal when you can help thousands with the same donation? 🐮 🐔 🐷 The majority of world wide donations for animals go to cats and dogs in animal shelters, despite the fact that the scale of suffering of farm animals is much much larger and farm animals are much cheaper to help. To put the difference of cost effectiveness into perspective – it costs around 3,000 euros for a pet shelter to look after an animal for a year, in comparison – this same amount of money could: 👉 Spare 3,529 chickens from lives in battery cages if donated to The Humane League 👉Save 15,900 animals from factory farming if donated to The Good Food Institute Find the scale of difference hard to believe? Read our latest blog to find out why it's so much more effective to donate to help farm animals and the good your donations could do
Donating money to animal shelters isn't the most effective way to help animals

For the past few years I have been investigating the current state of our animal welfare and welfare services in Northern Ireland, and comparing them with the rest of UK and Ireland. One small move forward is to make our Centralised Breeding Licence Register public. Afterall, they are businssess. It also helps protect public from purchasing from an illegal breeder and should also help them to be able to feel confident in reporting any issues they experience. Thanks to Naturewatch Foundation which recently published a survey of breeders in the UK, it has outlined there are only 50 licenced breeders in NI! This includes three councils without any licenced breeders !! From these figures and the detail in the report - I have estimated that 11 councils achieved a total income of less than £11k, but these 50 breeders achieved an income of £26million. So on this basis, I have now written to all 11 Chief Executives, Ministers and MLAs asking for their support in making this Register Public. This is the start of Reform in Animal Welfare; connecting with the forthcoming 'Lucy's Law'; identifying the real costs of breeding and animal welfare, along with the services required to support it; and of course, recognising the work that the charities achieve as they now take in every surrendered dog in the country for rehoming, along with the financial and legal responsiblity. 'animal welfare is not someone elses issue, it is a public health issue'. For more info on the story, go to https://lnkd.in/eSXbYV38 🐾 😍
