DON'T GET TAKEN FOR A RIDE Rouge trainers offer packages that look attractive to the untrained eye, but leave learners paying £1,000's for qualifications that aren't required for qualified electrician status & don't give them the full range of skills they need. Remember: 1 Take one course at a time 2 Work-based training is essential 3 Avoid hard sells https://lnkd.in/exUNzHQC #ElectricianTraining #CareerAdvice #StayInformed #ProfessionalDevelopment #SkilledTrades

This is not a criticism of the individual who contacted me, it’s more a criticism of a system which allows someone who is being trained to become a driving instructor, to get to the final qualification exam, take an attempt and be so far off understanding the requirements. Last week someone contacted me about part 3 training. They’d failed their first attempt and had booked a second attempt in an unfamiliar city. Given that your lesson needs to meet the client’s requirements and then be able to be adapted as necessary in response to the client’s performance, it is virtually impossible to provide a suitable and adaptable training route if you are unfamiliar with the location. The trainee instructor wanted me to show him some test routes he could use for the lesson. I advised him to cancel the second attempt and book in his local area. I also advised him to improve his current understanding of what a lesson is and how to provide it. The question is, how has he got to this point and not be aware of the requirements?

Practical training in our confined space courses is vital to ensuring candidates are competent and ready for real life confined spaces. The use of a real confined space in training means when candidates come across confined spaces in their job they remain calm and most importantly safe. Take a look at our confined space in this photo, would you go in? 🤔

Getting ready to kickoff our 2nd round of Safety-in-Motion body mechanics training for our employees. This is the best body mechanics training I have had the opportunity to teach. All of our tips, tricks, & exercises can be used at work and at home to help prevent soft tissue injuries. But I have a question for the community. How do you get employees to attend non-mandatory training? And a follow-up question is how do you get upper management to make the class mandatory since soft tissue injuries usually involve lost work time, restricted duty, and higher costing claims? Or did I just answer my own question? LOL Have a great day!!!
