Combining architectural expertise and business interest: how I supported a 2.5-fold business expansion by technical consulting. #SuccessStory #BrandBuilding #ConstructionIndustry After spending many years in architectural design, I made a major career shift some years ago. I joined the Hungarian subsidiary of a German construction material producer as an architect consultant. At that time, the brand was barely known, and its market presence was limited. Along with this, We experienced a truly fortunate combination of very lucky circumstances. The excellent products and the technical knowledge I received from excellent colleagues of the Technical Support Center of the German headquarters was really inspiring for me. The carefully considered solutions and the perfection of the detail creating, as well as their engineering thinking resonated very well with my own attitude. I have been quickly convinced that it is worth recommending them to my old friends and designer partners. Thanks to my former job, I precisely knew how to help the work of the architects, so I was able to meet their needs without they formulated them. In my experience, the effective help they’ve received in their work, the knowledge they can rely on (up to today) and the belief they adopted from me have been creating a stronger and more lasting brand commitment in them than anything else. After a while among the architect designers I focused to the experts as it became clear to me that nowadays these specialists are unmissable participants of the design teams of the biggest property developments. This attitude in one hand led me to reach the biggest projects of the market and in the other hand let my message reaching all designers, experts and clients involved in these projects. I also made efforts to attend the most important architects’ conferences as a performer, using the latest presentation and communication techniques. After effecting a critical mass of architects and relevant building experts the spread has started continuing automatically. Nowadays, these materials are appearing in the plans of many projects with a strong embeddedness - both designers and builders are insisting on the planned quality. Finally, these efforts brought real Brand-building from the „Unknown” to the "Cutting-edge Specialist" image. Now the Brand is well known in the relevant circle of architects and is intertwined with excellent quality. The results speak for themselves: over time, the business turnover grew by 2.5 times. This example shows that impressive results can be achieved by consistent expertise and dedication even in such a price-sensitive market like we have in Hungary. #ArchitecturalConsulting #BusinessGrowth #TechnicalAdvantage #Expertise #MarketLeadership #BrandBuilding #RealEstateDevelopment #Career #LinkedIn #ConstructionIndustry #Results #Expert

In construction design, there's a timeless saying: "Paper endures everything." 📑✍️ At Norte, we're working towards changing this by ensuring our solutions are actually buildable. This involves hands-on engagement with all of our projects. We make regular visits to construction sites to review our designs and gather feedback on our solutions from construction teams. 🤝💪 We believe that such proactive involvement should keep our design solutions up-to-date and construction-friendly. Recently, we had the opportunity to inspect our projects in Ida-Virumaa: 🧲 NPM Narva Magnet Factory 🏭 Auvere Central Warehouse ⚡ Viru Synchronous Compensation Unit All visited sites surpassed our expectations, proving to be more impressive in reality than in design - a great job from construction teams. We are also happy to report that the site teams were generally happy with our work, and we also gathered some valuable information on what to do better next time. This experience underscores our belief in the power of collaboration. It is always good to celebrate the beauty of turning visions into reality together and learn from the way of doing that. #norte #sitevisit #teambuilding #engineering

As Archetype Group’s Senior Architectural Design Manager, Dilip ABYE has been a cornerstone of our team for over a decade, leaving a significant mark on projects through his work at our offices in Vietnam, India, and Cambodia. Dilip recently shared his perspectives during an informative Q&A session, offering insights into the principles that guide our architectural endeavors. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞? I initially studied civil engineering due to my desire to build tomorrow’s cities. However, I shifted to architecture, drawn by the potential to blend creativity with responsibility. This journey has deepened my appreciation for the architect's role in society. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭? Each project is unique, but my approach always involves a blend of solid data analysis and creative inspiration. I draw from a rich variety of past projects, local architectural traditions, and forward-thinking ideas to ensure our designs resonate on multiple levels. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬? Collaboration is the backbone of our work, whether in team settings or solo projects. Ensuring everyone's goals are aligned is crucial for a cohesive and harmonious project outcome. 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩? From the onset, our business development team identifies diverse projects, ranging from luxury resorts to industrial facilities. Collaborating closely with engineers ensures our architectural vision remains intact, while our commercial team aligns project scopes with budgetary constraints. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮? The Citadine Halong project in Vietnam and the Shaza Hotel in Lombok, Indonesia, stand out for allowing full creative expression and exemplifying the power of teamwork. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬? Sustainability isn't optional; it's integral. We're committed to embedding sustainable practices across all designs, ensuring our projects are as environmentally responsible as they are innovative. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲? This delicate balance is always a challenge, influenced by constraints such as budget and space. Nonetheless, striving for designs that are both visually appealing and pragmatically sound is a guiding principle for me. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? Cultural relevance is paramount. My designs draw on local architectural heritage, ensuring that every project is deeply rooted in its context and history. Consistency in integrating cultural elements is key to avoiding discordant design elements.

The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is planned to be located between Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon River Tunnel. The location in District 1 is within the Bạch Đằng Port Park and closest to the Nguyen Hue Walking Street. Since 2019, Ho Chi Minh City has organized the selection of architectural design options. In October 2023, the results of the competition were announced. The chosen design features the image of a water coconut leaf, contributed by Chodai – Takashi Niwa Architects and Chodai Kisojiban Vietnam consortium. The design of the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River is unique, impressive, non-repetitive, and simple. According to the Department of Planning and Architecture, the design with the image of a water coconut leaf optimizes the system of columns under the river bed and brings the columns closer to the river bank to reduce the effects of high water levels, ensuring good collision avoidance. At the same time, it resolves the presence of columns on the bridge surface due to the large span, providing pedestrians with a spacious view while crossing the bridge. It is expected that the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River will officially commence construction on April 30, 2025, and be inaugurated in 2027. The total investment is 1,000 billion VND, making it one of the projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the c...
