Did you know that by 2025, half of the world’s population will be living in water-stressed areas? The urgency to save water has never been greater. Every day, the world consumes a staggering 10 billion tons of water, yet a significant portion of this precious resource is wasted in our daily routines. Simple actions, such as leaving the tap running while brushing teeth, can waste up to 8 gallons of water each time. Leaky faucets, on average, waste over 3,000 gallons per year. These small, often unnoticed habits contribute to the alarming depletion of our water supply. By making mindful choices and adopting water-saving practices, we can significantly reduce waste and protect this vital resource. Let's work together to make every drop count and secure a sustainable future for generations to come. 🌿💡 #calpedagroup #savewater

Water is life. Water is everything good. Humans, animals, and every living thing benefit from it. Watch how these dogs graciously drink water, each in their own distinctive way. They must be very thirsty. They are really different in the way they drink. This video reminds me of how inseparable dogs and humans are from this precious resource and also how water fulfills a fundamental need for all creatures great and small. Like those dogs, we humans rely on water for our very survival. Throughout each day water plays an indispensable role - from drinking to cooking, bathing, cleaning, recreation, and more. Access to clean water is a basic human right that empowers families and communities. The soothing feel of water quenches our physical thirst and nourishes our spirits. Yet around the world, 1 billion people lack safe drinking water in their homes. Women and children spend over 200 million hours collecting water daily. Overuse, pollution, and climate change threaten the quality and availability of freshwater. As global populations grow, water demand is projected to exceed today’s supply by 40% by 2030. Clearly, we cannot take water for granted. Sustainable water management must become a top global priority. Each of us can make a difference through mindful daily habits. The power to overcome the world's looming water crisis rests with each of us. Like the joyful dogs relishing water, we must remember that water connects us all. When we join together to use water responsibly and ensure fair access, we can secure this precious resource for generations to come. At Water150 by Longhouse Foundation we are committed to raising awareness and inspiring action for sustainable water stewardship worldwide. Join us in valuing water as the essence of life that nourishes our common humanity. Let us become caretakers of water for the benefit of all. #water #impactinvestment #impact #impactinvesting #watercrisis #sustainability #animals

Earth Day - Afterthoughts (introspection) Now that the euphoria of Earth Day is behind us, let's ask ourselves some questions. Whenever possible, 1. Do I walk instead of drive? 2. Do I use public transport instead of taking out my car? 3. Do I take the stairs instead of using the lift? 4. Do I turn off the tap while brushing my teeth? 5. Do I turn off the shower while applying soap on my body? 6. Do I wait to get potable drinking water before ordering a plastic bottle? 7. Do I buy ONLY what I need instead of buying what I want? 8. Do I segregate waste generated by me and put it in the right bin? 9. Do I do the bare minimum that's within my control rather than waiting for governments and business houses to take big actions? #earthday #sustainability #accountability ##healthylifestyle #healthyliving
