Spoiler alert: 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁! Here’s a quick breakdown: L2 Application Support - Works on bespoke applications, often developed in .NET or Java - Writes SQL queries to troubleshoot and support applications - Minimal customer interaction - Focuses on “break and fix” for specific applications L2 Desktop Support - Supports tools like Office 365, Azure AD, and cloud-based environments - Handles general desktop and hardware issues (not custom applications) - Involves a lot of customer interaction 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗩 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 🥲

Evidently at 50 + years old, two years ago I was "restructured" out of a job and into a black hole / abyss / oblivion. I have experience that covers a wide range of IT products and services including O365 / M365 spanning 20 plus years in a global company, the HCL / IBM Domino (Lotus Notes) product is one that I have worked with the longest. I started with version 3.0a / 3.33 thru version 10. I have global administrative and application tool development experience working with hundreds of Domino (Lotus Notes) servers, and thousands of databases. Granted the Domino job opportunities are not frequent in posting but they do happen. It seems Microsoft has made some changes on the Admin Center side for managing and adding distrubution lists to a users account in Office 365, it was the role of just Exchange Administrator but that no longer works, and you need to also add that admin account to Exchange Recipient Administrator, which is weird because Exchange admin should be able to do all things exchange. As always look at PIM (Privileged Identity Management) roles to setup JIT (Just In Time) access to alleviate any admin accounts being compromised with more permissions than the end user. I wish Microsoft would actually change the Admin center access and revamp it for roles and giving you more flexibility for managing permissions short-term/long term/ just in time access. #office365 #o365 #itsupport #exchange

It is highly recommended to do a full backup of the server, including the operating system, Exchange Server installation, and the files.    In Asign2, we have a full backup scheduled by the admin as per the pre-defined conditions.
